Great atmosphere, good coffee, a bit pricey. Favorite place in VA Beach so far.
Great coffee spot to enjoy a treat and cup of coffee. Pastries are delicious. Every pastry did not disappoint. Bagels are unique combinations. I wouldn’t say they’re bad, but I wasn’t a huge fan.
First time here - what a gem! Delicious coffee, friendly staff, and charming atmosphere. Look forward to going again!

A great experience from the start!! This was the spot to be on a steadily, quaint morning. With plenty of chic seating arrangements spaciously placed in & around this two level comfort coffee house, while the service was just as hospitable as the reassuring atmosphere upon stepping into this familiar past time. The air was crisp and refreshing, much like the first bite of their (Turkey)BLT Wrap, with the taste of naturally produced/ garden grown ingredients. Offering loads of gluten free options, pastries, smoothies and an assortment of coffee with a buzz that'll slap you into tomorrow. So, if you want a family friendly slice of memories; Astraea's is the place to start your today.
Such a quaint, cute, old home feel,very friendly staff, the coffee was great and the breakfast bagels are wonderful, can't wait for warmer weather and the events.
This place is okay. The food is very basic. I had a BLT wrap, but it turned out to just be lunch meat and bacon bits. My girlfriend had a Veggie bagle and it's just an uncooked bagle with cream cheese and some cucumbers. The lattes were very tasty though! Everyone was nice and the place was neat on the inside. I probably won't be going back, but it was a good experience to try once!
Expect a 15+ minute wait and cold bagels since the girl in the back wants to have a full on conversation with a coworker while your food just sits there.

Just wish they were open longer; I’m no longer able to get coffee here because they’re closed before I get off work at 4:30 now, and it’s too far to drive on weekends Always delicious drinks and even though I normally only get coffee the few times I’ve had their food it’s been good too. Cozy environment and friendly staff.
Used to be one of my favorite places in Virginia Beach until today. We’ve been a regular supporter of Astrea since they opened. I packed up my 4 kids to take them here today and was told I couldn’t order food. I arrived at 1:20, waited in line as there was one person in front of me, and when it was my turn the girl at the front desk was doing something other than taking our order. We stood there waiting for about 5 minutes. When she finished it was 1:34pm and told me I couldn’t order any food since it was past 1:30. No one there cared that we had arrived 10 minutes ahead of time. I guess Astrea cares more about hard deadlines than customer satisfaction. As a business owner I’m not sure how treating customers that way plays into their business model. I certainly won’t be coming back and I will no longer tell people visiting Va Beach to check out Astrea. No matter how good the food or coffee is it won’t make up for the poor customer service I received today and I certainly won’t send anyone I know there because I’ve all lost all trust I had in that place. It’s not easy packing up 4 kids in the car only to be turned away and have to go somewhere else to feed them.
This place is so cozy and cute! Coffee was delicious and they have a good variety of food options too! We will be back!
Children's Area: make sure to call ahead to verify that the upstairs is open! It's very disappointing when you choose to drive 20 min because of the play area just for it to be closed because they weren't busy enough to keep it open to clean later. The atmosphere is wonderful and the drinks & food I've had have been amazing, 5 stars for that.

This is such a cute café! They have a variety of seating options, both inside and outside. It's decorated nicely and feels cozy. The staff is super friendly and the coffee is delicious. I will definitely be returning!
