Maybe the best restaurant I know of. We eat there every chance we get and love it every time. The staff is friendly, the food is out of this world and the atmosphere is fun. My wife and son say they have the best coffee they've ever had. They closed for a while but are BACK! They haven't lost any of their style, atmosphere or quality. We went last night and I had the pork belly sub. It was delicious and I highly recommend it. Hurry in to welcome them back!

Love the Turkey Reuben! Staff is always friendly and the food does not disappoint. 4/7/22 tried the Mixto sandwich today and it was awesome. A little difficult to hold & eat because it's so stuffed with goodness but truly delicious.
(This review was written on November 4, 2017) Stopped in during the Oyster Festival Saturday evening. Enjoyed a slice of Buttermilk Milk Pie. All I can say is I applied for early retirement for my tastebuds! The crust was flaky, not crumbly. The buttermilk filling was smooth and flavorful but not at all sweet and did not lose any of the freshness of the Pie. Same with the Pecan Pie. Normally, I cannot eat it for it is always too sweet. Too bad I had only one slice in our hotel or I would've had a Buttermilk AND a Pecan Pie! The Buttered Pecan & Vanilla Ice cream was beyond delicious. I jumped off no-dessert wagon and shot the horses! Not only was the food just simply delightful, the staff was so accommodating and pleasant and since this was our first visit, we were so impressed with EVERYTHING! When traveling down Rt 17 on your way to Hampton, Newport News, Norfolk/VB, Portsmouth metropolitan areas, Something Different has to be a stop on your journey to your southern destinations! We will be back there soon where we can try a few things from the menu.

We have ordered carry out twice over the past couple of weeks and it was just delicious. Food was wonderful and the service was great. We will be back. Looking forward to dinning in the restaurant. Great vibes inside.
Long wait! Took larger parties first. Don't mind waiting when I'm treated right! My scrambled eggs tasted like they were loaded with onion (which I did not order) and were dark in spots. Whatever they put on my toast in the kitchen did not taste like butter. My husband's sausage had a strange taste! Won't go back for breakfast! Might try lunch. The hostess had a great friendly smile.
The food and service as always were wonderful. My wife and I usually have drinks 🍸 with dinner which can get expensive. All and all it's a great restaurant.

The BEST smoke food i have had in a very long time. Deliciousness...My friend took us on our vacation to eat.. Such a family restaurant. Comfortable and Home feel like.
Pretty sure I was lied to tonight leading to an experience that was "Something Different". I was told when ordering online for pick-up, and paying with cash that you don't receive a pick-up notice when your order is ready and that you only receive the notice when paying with card. However, past times (ordered takeout here at least 15 times) using cash and card for pick-up I get the notice. I order, drive up, and wait. I get a text/email when it says order ready for pick-up and even provides a link to mapped directions. Tonight nothing, sit in parking lot over an hour until I walk in and check. Foods been ready. So am I mistaken or was I lied to? I'd like an answer and I'll gladly give five stars because the food is good and even better when it's not cold from sitting.
Small town charm, yummy cocktails and hot dogs with mustard and apple butter that was delicious! Definitely something different, literally! Bout some if their take home pimento cheese, chicken salad and bbq and it was delicious!
Very nice server. Delicious homemade ice cream. Food was different from what we are accustomed to, but good. Large groups are encouraged to call ahead.
