Super cute place to sit and study. Lots of tables with outlets and the music wasn’t too loud. The coffee flavors are unique and yummy.

Advertised as having local beer. Stopped by and turns out had no beer at all. No bottles, nothing on tap and although advertised on the menu staff could have cared less. This place was great several years ago and had a solid offering of local beers and great atmosphere but not anymore.

Visiting town for a wedding and we stopped by Cure for coffee twice! I tried one of their seasonal specials, the Persephone, and it was fantastic. They have a great selection of prints, stickers, and merch for sale. The staff are super welcoming and the space is very comfortable. Definitely stop by if you’re in the area!

My vanilla latte with oat milk was excellent, and the service was very good. The atmosphere is somewhat industrial. They don't waste time on comfort! I can't vouch for the food and didn't notice if they had vegan options since I wasn't eating.

Please put the food menu online. I may want food and trying to decide, but I can’t see what I need, so I go elsewhere. I guess that means less lines there, but let’s me effective for us planning type people. Also, update the times on the cite. Thanks

Words can not describe how wonderful our group's experience was! Elizabeth and Thomas both gave exceptional service to our group of 70-80 associates, greeting them all with their beautiful smiles and providing top notch customer service! The best part was the taste of the coffee! Everyone was raving about how amazing the taste was and saying how they hope to see them return for another associate event in the future! Thank you so much, Cure Coffeehouse! 10/10! 🏆

Popped in one afternoon to get a late lunch. The place was spic & span, offered outdoor seating, had a great choice of menu items, and was very friendly. What more could you want? Oh, yes, did I mention the yummy pimento cheese sandwich that I had? Couldn't have been better. We will definitely return.

The open mic run by Carmen and MelodicMovements was really pleasant, and I loveee the specialty brews here -- food is good too, though overpriced for the portions.

Was a tad bit pricey but their food is good, the location is cinematic(lol to me I'm a videographer!) , but one highlight about this place is definitely their coffee! I've gone back a few times to buy coffee and currently drinking their "big trouble" option. A well deserved 5 star visit. Go check them out!

Tried out the Portsmouth location, 1st visit, incredibly disappointed. I got a regular sized cold brew, got the special "Persephone".. Apparently it's supposed to have lavender and earl grey in it, got almond milk (which apparently was $1.25 extra 😲), tastes like just a regular cold brew with cream, but paid almost $9 FOR JUST A COFFEE!! Absolutely not impressed. Go to The Coffee Shoppe 2 blocks down, way more friendly service, better selections, and far more reasonable prices. I will not be returning here!!

The drinks are consistently made really good and their turkey sandwich with goat cheese and fig spread is my all-time favorite. The location is perfect for a date or to meet up with a friend. Just grab a quick bite and a drink then take a stroll by the water. Great place! Usually busy with a mix of people socializing or working alone on their laptops.

Walked in and no one said a word walked to the counter and again no one said a thing! I would recommend the coffee and drinks but the people working the counter were not as welcoming as they could be. Train the staff and add some more ergonomically appropriate seating.

Horrible service twice on one occasion, definitely not recommended to visit for anyone who is “different from the ordinary”. Will never go again.

Lovely little coffee shop. Very nice atmosphere. I had a Chai latte and it was very good, not too sweet. I also had a Danish with strawberry filling. The filling was meh. I wish I had gotten the cheese. The pastry itself was delicious.

Just like it's sister location in Smithfield VA, Cure Coffeehouse provides respite for the workaholic and the social butterfly in all of us - a place to wind down, enjoy specially made drinks, delicious light bites and catch a breath or take a break to connect, relax and recharge. Inside are small tables that allow you elbow room to work on your laptop or read a book or just lean forward to chat with your companion. There are high chairs that allow you to enjoy views of the cobbled Botetourt Street. The decor is timely - this time is to prepare for the festival of hearts (Valentine's Day) with heart streamers from the ceiling and red and pink flowers in vases on the table. There are enticing baked goods like cheesecake squares, lemon sugar cookies and all other menu choices. They make a crème brûlée drink that rivals Starbucks' caramel macchiato. They offer merchandise such as branded glasses, crew necks and sweatshirts. Definitely cool and hip place!
