My husband and I walked in on Memorial Day and there were 7 people behind the counter and no one in line in front of us. We were standing in front of both registers and no one would take our order until an employee looked at me, kept walking past me, and I said "can you please come back and take my order?" I know a couple employees were filling To Go orders but when an employee is on her cell phone with the speaker phone and there are other employees just standing around, there is a customer service issue.
We wanted to give this place a try and aren't pleased with our first experince. Both donuts weren't what they said have been. The burger was soaked with grease and wasn't edible. The first drink was matcha overload too much matcha powder wasn't able to drink it. The a second drink was very little coffee and way too much sweetener. We want a refund because everything we ordered wasn't what we asked for. The employee that made the drinks was using Google to see how to make a matcha tea latte. The employees acted like they were out of it and couldn't remember what anyone's orders were. A woman had to come back in three times and the third time asked for a new box because there was an excessive amount of donut filling all over the bottom of the box they gave her a bag and another box to put under it. Many people came in and walkwd out because if the wait. Not happy with anything i experienced for my first time coming here.
Charter Colony location customer service is 100% spot on! The business focus is on customer satisfaction and making delicious donuts. Stop in for a delicious donut, gourmet coffee, ice cream, or a famous Luther Burger. You will not be disappointed.

My boss picked up a couple dozen donuts for our staff and I can't tell you how incredible they were. Ths specialty croissant donuts they make on Fridays are the best donuts I've ever had
Tried out Sugar Shack today and will not return. We are accustomed to very tasty donuts and treats from the Treat Shop and this place can not compete. Sugar Shack donuts have no flavor and are no better than some you would buy in a grocery store. Save your money if this is the only place you can buy donuts. Truly wasted calories.

Went tonight with a big group. I got the crabcake smash burger and my sons both got cheeseburgers. The sandwiches were delicious and the fries were all seasoned perfectly. We ended the meal with some really yummy milkshakes and took a dozen donuts to go for later. Everything was amazing and the staff was awesome. Such a friendly professional group of young people working. We will definitely be back!
My new favorite spot for Donuts!! First time customer as of Monday and I've been 3x already with it now being Saturday. Okay lol, so I tan next door multiple times a week and I've been also stopping by for my family because now their hooked too, just putting that out there. Every visit I've been happily overwhelmed with the variety of adventurous, gourmet donuts and everyone of them that I have tried has not disappointed. So far the French Toast & Old Fashioned are my fav. highly recommend. Also, 5 star customer service!! Employees are welcoming, helpful, knowledgeable about their product and helpful with decision making. They are always working hard to keep the shelves full which is not easy considering the amount of foot traffic this place gets. They have made a regular customer out of me and so happy for their new convenient location!!

Got there at 7 AM on a Saturday and bought 6 donuts. The cake donuts tasted as if they had been made a couple days prior. Not fresh at all. No need to go back here.
Great donuts and nice staff. Please add the option to include syrup pumps in an Americano on the Toast online ordering site!

Best donuts in Richmond hands down. I could eat their blueberry cake donuts every day for breakfast. Didn't expect the coffee to be so good but I was pleasantly surprised to find out it is also from a small place in Henrico. Also found out that they will make milkshakes based off their donuts if not with a donut in it. Plus, with all their yeast donuts being vegan it really opens it up for everyone. If you find yourself near any of their locations in Richmond, stop here before you go to a convenience store for snacks.
Yummy donuts. Had other menu items will come back to try like milkshakes, burgers and sandwiches. Service was good and they were friendly.

Super happy they opened up 5 min away from us. We love their donuts!
