All the Staples of a great downtown coffee shop. They do a thoughtful job of providing truly special specials. Tried a blueberry poptart this time, and it was amazing. The coffee being great is a given. There is a breakfast/lunch menu, food looked good, cooked within view. I wish they did something about the ceiling above the cooking area not being cleanable but I'm pickier that way. I like the historic feel of the place and the vibe of being across from the farmer's market and drawing a fun crowd. None of that would matter if the coffee were not up to par but it is excellent.
Food was good but the tea is what I loved. The white peony tea was so good
Hands down the best coffee in town, maybe the only place that really pays attention to bean selection and process. From what I’ve seen they are mostly single origin on espresso and source from a local roaster. Today was a single origin Honduran honey processed bean. Hondurans are what’s coming through the premium supply channels now which shows these guys are on it with the fresh stuff. If you’re a discerning espresso person this is your spot in Lynchburg; top quality beans top quality brewing producing the cup you’d expect.
Great lattes and unique breakfast options!!
This place is it! You could literally taste the love in the food. The chef was available to talk to, personable, and took care in the food he made. The flavors were so rich, sausage was homemade, blueberry biscuits were fire! Every walk of life can be found here and feel at home. We will be back and we will boast forever about the amazing quality they take in the food they give you
My other half and I checked this place out while trying to get to know the area. I am a big coffee drinker so I do have to say the drinks are great! The food was sub-par. For the price spent on it it really wasn't that great. I don't think we'll be coming back for food but definitely will for coffee
This is where you go to try something different. Food and drink names are purposely vague so you branch out from the routine. I got “Bunny’s Biscuit” - a semi scone like blueberry biscuit with sausage and cheese and a variety of properly seasoned of potatoes. The “Hot Honey Latte” was great too it’s like a regular latte but right about of sweet and spicy. The (oat milk?) balanced whatever was going on out. Setting is very causal from bar-type service. Definitely recommend!
We stopped by this lovely cafe on the way south from Central VA. Very cool vibes, yummy food, tasty coffee, and superb friendly service! Even let us bring our small dog in during our visit. If we were local we'd go all the time! Highly recommend 👌
It was very nice and portions on the food was generous. I just wish it had been obvious where the menu was and descriptions on the boards. But it was lovely and a nice quiet place for lunch on a hot day.
Me and my fiancée went to White Hart for breakfast and we both ordered omelettes. Her omlette was extremely overdone and the bacon looked like shavings of charcoal. Mine was better but still overdone. We spent $45.47 for two coffees and a couple omlettes. It was overall a disappointment. The drinks were delicious and the fries were surprisingly good.
Nice coffe and the food looks good I didn't try any though I had just ate. A nice place to chill with a friend.
Good food and a good time. In town for a Gooding car auction we stumbled upon this gem in downtown. My dietary restrictions were met with a question “will you be here tomorrow? My good fortune! The next day gluten free noodles made especially for me. Served with mushrooms and peppers. Fantastic!
My dad wanted me to leave this review but little did he know there was really no need since I was gonna write one either way hahaha. What we appreciated the most was the utmost honesty from the staff about how long it was gonna take to get the food, you don't get that too often. Not to mention the food was AMAZING! *chefs kiss* We aren't from the area but will definitely be back whenever we come and visit!!
TL/DR: Quickly has become a favorite. Coffe/Lattes always good. Food is exceptional. Hard to beat a coffee shop in the middle of downtown that serves good food. Why My Rating? Atmosphere: There are spacious tables if you have work to do or small tables if you are just catching up with a friend. Big windows for a view of downtown or sit in the back away from everything. This is why it is steadily becoming my go-to. Food: Watching this team prepare food is cool. I told them on my last visit that they are simply artists using food as a medium. I'm working my way through the menu but I have never been less than pleased. Location: Downtown Lynchburg immediately across the road from the Lynchburg Farmer's Market. Plenty of parking down the hill behind the shop in Public parking. Sometimes parking available in front on street. Staff: Two different groups and both have been great. Coffee and food are prepared on opposite ends. Both crews seem knowledgable, efficient, and hospitable. Always have felt welcomed. Atmosphere: As noted above. Has its own charm and personality. Plenty of space for those staying a while or just enough space for those needing a quick boost and a conversation. Cleanliness: Very clean and comfortable Prices: The menu for food is definitely on the higher end of the price scale but the type of food is why. Coffees are on par for typical prices.
Nicer than ANY Starbucks but much much slower.
So, so good. My girlfriends and I ate breakfast here once and then came back the next day because we loved it so much. The food was fresh and wonderful. The lattes were great. The staff was super friendly. We can’t wait to come back.
Had the weekly special called a “Double Up.” Great friendly service to match the delicious offering of caffeine!
One of my favorite places in all of Lynchburg. Wonderful coffee and food. The staff are always welcoming and make you feel like family.
The food is pretty good. Bizarre setup. When we visited, they were cooking one dish at a time. Just need to try harder.
Cute place, great food! Really nice staff ☺️
