My favorite little tea room! I have been coming here for years and I even came for my bachelorette party! The chicken and mushroom pie is my favorite lunch item and the Eaton mess is such a good little dessert! I can't recommend this tea room enough if you are looking for a good afternoon treat.
After all the 5 star reviews we were sorely disappointed. I wanted to love it and I’m sure it was probably just an off day. When we first arrived the hostess couldn’t find our reservation, even though we had email confirmation. Then it took a while before anyone waited on our table. When she finally arrived, she was very unfamiliar with the menu questions we had and we could tell she was new. That’s no problem, but these were very simple questions that if someone was trained properly should know on a day to day basis. We were also distracted by an older woman who was playing, what sounded like, Americas funniest videos sitting on the couch behind us which didn’t help the already unpleasant experience we were having. Later we found out it was the owner who was sitting on the couch playing the videos. Not a good look. 😞 Then to top it off, my chicken pie was refrigerator cold in the middle which let us know it was not baked fresh. So, all in all we did not have a good experience, not saying we wouldn’t try it again, but it did put a bad taste in our mouth being our first time there.
Not disability friendly. I have Autism. I tried schedule reservations through email and was told to call, I am unable to process information well verbally and need for it to be communicated through writing a lot of times to process. When someone else can schedule for me, the tearoom is great... but they are not very accessible for online reservations or alternative forms of scheduling. Very disappointed. Was going to schedule a group event for my disabled friend and her deaf daughter, and her Autistic daughter, and myself and my 2 Autistic kids... very disappointed.
Such a nice place and great food and tea
Had Afternoon Tea with my husband and it was a pure delight! Had the Victorian platter which included such a wide variety of bite sized treats to share. Several different varieties of tea to choose from. Warm and inviting atmosphere and staff. Highly Recommended!
An absolute MUST if you're visiting Lynchburg. I stopped in here while stopping to rest and get lunch while traveling and was treated like ROYALTY! The owner is lovely, really makes you feel at home. The decor is incredible. The tea was good and the food even better. I hope to stop here again some day!
Lovely atmosphere with amazing lunch options. We've eaten here several times and each time we love our choices. Highly recommend the chicken and mushroom pie. Dessert cherry crumble with custard.
Very friendly staff tea is amazing, and the food I ordered was amazing! Now I did have a desert and that was not great, I mean it was not bad but after the food my expectations were high. Overall I am totally going again it was a great experience.
The place was so peaceful and nice. Their scones are like no other, and they had the best tea I've ever tasted. Truly an experience like no other. This is a place you must visit.

Love the tea and food And the hostest is so kind Make sure that you have a reservation for the weekend other than that I was informed today that weekdays usually they do not request Reservations
My sister, Mom and I drove from North Carolina just to try this place. We do a monthly tea with my Mom and stumbled on this place. The food was excellent, the atmosphere was great. We will definitely return. Well worth the almost 4 hour drive to get there.

Their atmosphere is superb, and I highly recommend the Earl grey.
We lived in Oxford for three years, and when we get a little homesick for a proper tea, or our spirits need a lift this where we go.
Fantastic place to go and hangout with friends on a rainy afternoon. Reservations are important, but not necessary! Great British atmosphere and wonderful food. Despite the prices being somewhat high, the food and tea is fantastic. I would recommend for anyone to try.
The Herbal Peach tea was excellent along with the array of both sweet treats and finger foods. The environment was calm and inviting. Definitely coming back again for their lunch.
Such an amazing place. Really cute english decor. The owner is incredibly friendly and all the staff are as well. Usually very quick service. The tea and food are absolutely top notch! A favorite date location for my spouse and I.
