Never had a bad meal at Briar Patch. Sandwiches are all excellent, fairly priced, service always courteous. Outstanding deserts. Best restaurant in Galax.

This is a hidden gem in Galax! We discovered it years ago while antique shopping and have been returning customers since. Great soups, sandwiches , coffee drinks and ICE CREAM! Charming and great customer service. They also have music frequently which adds to the charm.
The food was phenomenal. I got their version of a Cuban and it was delicious. And their Mac and cheese can revial and I can make at home. So delicious. They serve breakfast and lunch all day. Can't recommend enough 🤤🤤🤤

This Cafe is attached to a fantastic marketplace. Each vendor has wares of old and new. Friendly service in both the market and Cafe.
This place is my second home. These folks have treated me like family from the very first time I stumbled in. Now, my day just isn't complete without seeing all my favs at the Cafe! The food is quick and very quality. Won't regret stopping in!!!!

Why would a breakfast place be closed on Sunday? Disappointed.
Ate hear twice in two days. Counterstaff took time to explain options. Food was good (chicken salad sandwich) and your can shop for a myriad of items.
This was a surprise find in downtown Galax. We ate breakfast here and the food was excellent. I had biscuits and gravy while my wife had eggs and sausage. While there are tables to eat at, there is no table service for food. You order your food at the cash register and the staff brings the food to your table. The food was hot and delicious. However, we did not enjoy eating with styrofoam plates and plastic utensils. After eating, we shopped in the marketplace for antiques. All in all it was an excellent experience and we will return.

We visited for lunch on a Saturday. The cashier was very helpful with the menu and describing what they had to offer. All of the staff was helpful! Their bathrooms were clean. We enjoyed the tomato bisque soup and pimiento cheese grilled sandwich. It was very delicious. They first brought out a regular grilled cheese but when we pointed out the mistake we were quickly provided with the correct sandwich. They have a lot on their menu I look forward to trying! Once you eat you can proceed to the marketplace and browse everything on offer. Lots of antiques and some new items. The staff is very friendly and helpful. We enjoyed a conversation with the cashier where he inquired about who we were and why we were visiting. Will be going back again!

Coffee + Antiques = pure bliss I come study here a lot because they have so many seating options along with the perfect aesthetic. I often take breaks to walk around the store part to look through all the antiques. Overall, this place is a true charm. Pictured: Medium Iced Carmel Latte
