Excellent European style coffee shop with baked goods. The kind of place I've been sorely missing since moving to the suburbs!
Good coffee and baked goods. The atmosphere is warehouse-modern.
Hidden gem thats worth looking for then working remotely. It's that vibe. The coffee is ok, the rest of what they offer is ok but that isn't why you are going there. There is a remote worker energy there where if that is what you go there for, suddenly the just ok coffee is suddenly a lot better elevated by the experience.
The barista this morning was exceptionally kind and efficient. However, they don't have any station for customers to put cream or sugar in their coffee. They only serve it black. I had to throw it out as I can't drink black coffee. I don't recommend trying here unless you only like black coffee.
Great coffee spot with a modern vibe!
The coffee and my cranberry scone were both very good, and I also like the interior design of the place. Service was fast, but the counter person was distant, didn't smile or otherwise go out of her way to make us feel welcome. Maybe she was just having a bad day. I have other friends who come here and I will likely meet them occasionally. Hopefully, my next experience will be better but for now I'll stick with my regular friendly coffee shop. How important a smile can be.
i love this cafe and always go here to study on my free days. but my experience there lately has been not the best. when the owners are present, the service is amazing. however, the workers, specifically the 2 girls, are never paying attention and keep customers waiting to order. i had to call out twice to get their attention because they were looking at their phone or talking to each other. sometimes they were not even present at the register. the drinks they made were not the quality that is usually served. i ordered an iced green tea latte, but it tasted like just milk.
I happened to be in the area and wanted a place to quickly get on my laptop to write emails. I never expected to find such a gem! I loved the ambiance, pastries, and of course the cappuccino! I bought two bags of freshly roasted coffee beans, which I never do. The service was also top notch and quick!
Disappointed with Ethiopian anaerobic today. It lacked much fruit and acidity that you may normally expect from anaerobic beans. In addition, bean bags didn’t have degassing valves and saw some of them puffy which probably means they aren’t fresh from beans degassing. Pretty disappointing from what is being perceived as a specialty coffee shop.
This is a really interesting place. Truly excellent coffee and pastries. This was my first visit, but will be back for sure.
Nice and calm atmosphere for a café. The croissant was tasty, but a bit hard. The chai latte was also good a little too sweet, but that’s personal taste. A little overpriced in my opinion, but good overall.
My favorite cafe to go to! Usually it’s really crowded throughout the day but they roast their own coffee and it’s awesome! I think some other nearby coffee shops even buy foundation’s roasted beans to sell coffee
Excellent representation of medium roast here in America. Do not come here if you are expecting nordic light roasts, but their espresso and pourovers are fairly well dialed in and serve as an excellent representation of medium roast. Excellent variety on pourover, and their espresso is a solid representation of a well dialed in medium roast. I would imagine their lattes to be excellent at the very least.
I have been going here for almost everyday for two months. Quality of espresso and service depends on the baristas. The owner and manager have great attitude and always make great tasting coffee. However, the other baristas aren't so competent. There are these two barista girls that manage to consistently make one of the worst tasting lattes I have ever tasted and are always on the phone, sometimes not even realizing a customer is already waiting for them at the front. I hope this shop does a thorough quality check on their baristas.
I've been to this strip mall a thousand times and had no idea there was a coffee shop in the back. Now I'm mourning all the coffees I could have had in the meantime. Easily the best vanilla latte I've had in ages, and the cream croissant was *chef's kiss*. The space is just as bright, airy, and spacious as the pictures make it look. I had no problem finding a seat along the raised "balcony", where I had a great view of the baristas at work. The only sad part was how quickly my latte disappeared. It was tempting to get another cup! I will definitely return.
Top notch little coffee shop in a place you'd least expect it. Very well priced to top it off. Definitely worth the visit.
How I've lived in Fairfax most of my life and never heard of this place before is a travesty. Easily my new favorite coffee shop in area. The staff was friendly, the coffee and pastry I had were both out of this world, and the interior design is really cozy. Also that pastry selection is just, wow, so many delicious looking options. So go wander down an alleyway and find yourself in a coffee paradise.
Everything I've had here has been amazing! Their drinks are well balanced. I've had a lot of their pastries and cakes too. I think often people will hide bad flavors with a lot of sugar, but they do not. Their stuff had good flavor without being overly sweet.
Found this by accident when I was looking for a coffee place near by that I hadn't been to before. It is one of the best cups of coffee I've had in a while. The vibe is immaculate here. This place is also somewhat hidden in what feels like behind the main shopping complex, but it's totally worth it. This is definitely a great coffee date place.
Beautiful modern atmosphere, clean place, and delicious pastries. So why not 5 stars because I love large cup of coffees for my latte and their cups are the smallest. You must try the baguette with the cream. Surprisingly delicious!
