Lovely little somewhat hidden coffee shop, 10/10 dirty chai, will be coming back next time I'm in the area!
Friendly and great service. Coffee excellent
We love it here. Amir and the staff are wonderful, like an extended family. Nice atmosphere, chill music, and good WiFi. And of course, the coffee is incredible: hand selected from particular roasters. Just so good. Update: this has been our go-to coffee place for five years. The pour overs are worth the wait and the Atlas (coffee topped with house-made orange infused sweet cream) is unlike anything available anywhere else. The staff and regulars have become a sort of extended family to us. It’s true what they say: come for the coffee, stay for the community.
good vibe and coffee blessed to have this place in burke
Incredible, every drink is made with care and takes amazing. I come here every Saturday before dropping my daughter off at ballet and it’s a highlight. Great espresso drinks and coffee; highly recommend the Atlas or any seasonal variant of it. Be aware that they only do pour-overs versus a batch brew so coffee may take a little longer, but it’s absolutely worth it.
The cologne of the man working here is the most overpowering smell. It hits you in the nose when you walk in. The scent was on his hands too, it got on my to go coffee cup and lid- every time i went to take a sip, instead of smelling coffee I just smelled cologne- I had to just throw it away. Kind of makes you wonder why hands weren't washed more thoroughly. Otherwise it seemed like a nice place but I can't give more than one star when I can't even drink my coffee. Im not sure how people can be so unaware of how strongly they smell.
The Pour Over Coffee and bagel was amazing! Vibe is really nice as well. Great place to focus and have a coffee chat. I also took home one of the coffee bags, couldn’t resist. Don’t need cream or sugar when it tastes this good.
If you want great coffee, this is the place!!! Their pour coffee is excellent!!!
Great ambience. Amazing coffee. This place is a diamond in the rough. Do people not know about it? Does it have a cult following and I just now discovered it? I’m already looking forward to going back and trying their drinks and baked goods.
The espresso drinks are excellent. They know how to make drinks the right way. Many places will make a cortado (my go to drink) like a mini latte- too much milk. But 29th parallel does it right, nice and strong. Unfortunately, the whole experience is ruined by the awful overwhelming cheap perfume smell that permeates the entire cafe. Smells like they have a bunch of Glade plug ins or something. Maybe it’s the cleaning products they use? It’s so bad that the smell stick to my clothes and hair for an hour after. It seriously makes me not want to go there (even to grab a drink to go), which is really unfortunate because I live walking distance from this cafe. When you go to a coffee shop, you want to smell the delicious aroma of coffee, right? I don’t understand what’s going on here. Please 29th parallel, get rid of toxic synthetic fragrance!
Exquisite specialty coffee shop with a friendly, neighborhood vibe. Delicious snacks available, but it's all about the coffee and people here! Extremely well-curated list; there's something for everyone here, and it's well-sourced/tasty. One of the top coffee shops in Northern Va., yet it remains extremely underrated. Owners are such nice people as well -- friendly, charismatic and they do a great pourover! Stop in and enjoy a cup or two.
Really, really good coffee! Owner is very friendly and knows his coffee.
Nice little coffee shop which serves lattes in a mug. The guy working was nice and the lattes tasted pretty good. The location here was decently quiet which is good if you want to work on things.
The vanilla latte was pretty good! It’s super quiet here, so if you’re looking for a place to come and work quietly, this is a good spot for that.
Excellent coffee choices from non-local boutique roasters. The coffee bean and roast rotation gives the avid coffee connoisseur something to not only look forward to but also to get excited about. Desserts and pastries are limited but are excellently selected to pair with your favorite coffee.
Amazing coffee place tucked away in a random strip mall. Super cozy small cafe with cool music. Great local roasters like ceremony and vertex. Excellent baristas and the menu is getting bigger and better each time I visit.
amazing cappuccino! One of the best I tried outside of Italy!
I visited this cafe today to grab a strong latte to curb a headache before my workout. It was perfect - great latte and before long I was cured! The young man working there was super friendly and knows what he’s doing. Seemed like the many customers there were pleased also. Not normally a java drinker before a workout, but this might be my new pre-workout place. So good. Well done!
The barista was so pretentious. I’ve asked for the same basic drink at dozens of independent coffee shops and never been met with such smug condescension when ordering. There were other ways he could have professionally told me that they prepare the drink as a traditional 4oz shot, not as a latte like most places do. The coffee was good but I wasn’t a fan overall.
What an awesome place ! Coffee is top notch and the bagel and avocado toast was divine l!
