This was one of the most pleasant, unexpected surprises I have ever had while on a long road trip. Originally, we saw the sign on the highway for this coffee shop, and we planned to make a stop to grab some coffees for the road. Little did we know we would be quickly transported into the most strikingly cozy, spacious and family-friendly Café in all Virginia. We decided to order lunch and coffee. The sandwiches were simple for their collective ingredients, yet succulent and unpretentious - both hearty and light at the same time. You could tell the coffees were roasted superbly and mixed with an abundance of care, as even the level of sugar was only just enough to excite, but not too much steal the focus away from the masterfully concocted mixture of flavors, coffee and creamers. Our server Jada provided an incomparably hospitable service and made us laugh many times over the course of our quick meal. The dispersement of cute little markets for souvenirs and goodies only further contributed to the unified character and Southern charm that this breathtaking shop offered. I can't wait for my next visit, and implore any travelers to make a quick stop for themselves so they can truly understand this unexpected, enveloping warmth that can only be felt at Draper Mercantile.

Super nice spot off the highway! I got their lavender latte and it was the best I have ever had. They have a tea garden shop right next door that is really nice as well. Definitely try it out!!

Cool place with delicious drinks and muffins! Stopped by here on a whim as I was driving from NC to VA and wanted to find somewhere local for a pick-me-up. Really nice atmosphere, tons of seating, great service!

If you're on a little roadtrip and want to stop somewhere cool/local/yummy, I think this is the spot. The coffee was great, the pimento cheese sandwich w avocado + tomato/basil soup was AMAZING, and there's lots of neat stuff to look at on the inside (my husband got me a nice little bar of organic oatmeal soap). Kind folks and thoughtfully chosen products, would definitely stop here again.

Sincere, friendly, and engaged service. Waffles and Draper Mountain Sunrise were iconic. Coffee really hit the spot. Great vibe and atmosphere - the Soggy Bottom Boys would have been right at home on the stage in the dining area.

I've eaten here twice in the last two months. Both times the food was delicious. The only criticism is that the service was slow, maybe due to understaffing? This recent visit I had the pimento cheese burger and it was phenomenal.

Charming place with wonderful pastries and fudge. Be careful though, they have a gift shop that will draw you in. 😁. Highly recommend stopping in for a bite to eat. Very friendly staff that takes care of their visitors. Oh did I mention the fudge? Try the fudge! Thank you from Texas.

Stopped in here on our way back from a vacation for coffee and unfortunately didn't have time to eat. Great coffee and a great atmosphere. I wish it was closer, because I'd be a regular.
