Really good coffee but they do the paper straw thing

TLDR: good place to study and do work, mediocre matcha though Vibes: 6/10 - playing video game lofi, industrial furniture so not very cozy, good selection of games (board games and 2 nice chess sets), and cute Pokémon plushies on the game shelf Matcha latte: 2/10 - latte art was good, matcha quality was below average for people who drink Japanese ceremonial grade matcha on the regular, I liked the mug though
This place was awesome! Flat white so good and turkey panino was delicious. Someone reviewed that their bagels were bad but we got one and it was great! They heated it up for us and more importantly gave us plenty of cream cheese on the side :) We ended up coming here every day during our visit. The waffles were also yummy!
One of the best coffee shops in the state of Virginia. We do a lot of traveling and we go to coffee shops along the way. This one is differently highly recommended.
I ordered kind of an interesting drink - blackberry vanilla with oat milk. It was recommended to me to use a milk alternative because of the acidity and let me tell you - it was worth it! Appreciate the kind staff and man they just made my morning!
Milli Coffee Roasters is the BEST coffee shop in cville! A perfect place to get coffee, chat with friends, or sit down to do some work. I got a vanilla latte (delicious) and a super tasty rice crispy treat with peanut butter and nutella! I LOVED IT! The owner and staff are super welcoming and friendly too. Highly recommend!
Pretty good coffee shop. Appreciate the guy heating up my bagel! Cold bagels are lame…ha! Decor might be a little off putting for some. Coffee doesn’t have to be political. We see it everywhere and I wish when that we could be free of ad pollution when we go to a cool little shop like this. Outside of that, I liked the people and the things we ordered. They are busy bees in there but are very polite. They had a good selection of goodies and coffee though.

Incredibly friendly, knowledgeable, and helpful staff. Super clean facilities, delicious drinks and eats. Definitely glad I found this little pearl on Preston Ave.
The Honey Bear Latte is not to be missed (or the waffles!) Also! They have decaf espresso in case you need a warm pick-me-up without the caffeine buzz. Perfect for these dreary winter afternoons!
Milli is an awesome, go to spot for super good coffee and food. They have waffles and these crustless quiches that I love. The staff are super kind and down to earth and the place is comfy with plenty of seating and good light.
Good food but poor service. Probably won't go back truly just because the two workers taking our order were just cold, if they were standing still you would think they were dead lol first time going here and no smile, not really friendly, I mean they couldn't even recommend something of the menu. Like I said food was good but food and service go hand in hand for me and this place didn't cut it. I ordered the panini sandwich and still ended up going to Vision BBQ down the street for a brisket sandwich which was phenomenal, if I would've known I would've just gone there instead. Walked right in and the guys treated me with smiles and fist pumps some guy even yelled from the kitchen "hey wuts up man!" Felt welcomed, Milli take notes 📝. After I got my brisket sandwich and as I was walking out of the restaurant the pit master told me to follow him and he showed me their smoker, he popped it open to present all the glorious meat they were cooking. Such cool atmosphere will be going back here for sure!! Nothing better than a bunch of pit bosses smoking meat all day, such chill guys!
Excellent service, cute ambience and neat roastery setup. 3 stars is merely because I felt the latte was extremely pricey and honestly a bit too weak for my liking (mostly just tasted like milk, like the espresso was missing entirely!) however, this could be my personal taste. I’d still suggest giving them a shot regardless as your mileage may vary!
Really cool quiet place. Very friendly staff, and my coffee was perfect. We ordered a turkey panini, and it was delish. Plenty of space to stretch out with your electronics and take your time. Really nice outdoor seating as well.
Great place for a tasty coffee. My wife had a good hot chocolate, I had a delicious Guatemalan coffee, black.
Great place for a casual business meeting. Good atmosphere, laid back. Good coffee. We didn't eat but I hear the food is delicious.
The most amazing coffee spot I've found yet!
I come here once a week (or whenever I can secure some much needed childcare) and it’s the best coffee spot in town. Not only is the coffee delicious, the food offerings are too. The waffles are famous but I’d recommend their crustless quiche. As far as atmosphere, the shop is a working roastery which provides a very relaxing and inviting smell. People from all walks of life pop in and out creating a real community feel. Finally, if you have any work to do, it’s the best place in Charlottesville to setup a laptop and get to business, or studying. Oh! all of the baristas and employees are super nice too. I’m always served with a smile and appreciation.
Milli has the best coffee in town. And that's in a town with lots of great coffee. Their waffles are so yummy - get the Nutella!
