Got the egg and cheese on croissant and vegetable quiche. It was a weekday morning and there was still a long line. The food and coffee were good but I don't quite understand the hype. Staff was pleasant. There are a few outdoor tables on the patio near the street.
Wow! I google "best chocolate croissant" every time I visit anywhere. The first review to pop up said, "Not much chocolate." That must have been a fluke. This croissant addict can assure you it's one of the best I have ever had. So good. My son got sweet brioche. Not normally a fan, but it was delicious! Honestly, everything in the case looked amazing. Not sure if what I saw was a macaron or macaroon, but it was huge. Going for that next time.
Great for a tourist stop! A Starbucks equivalent but more expensive.
Came here for the hot chocolate. Wasn’t too bad but wasn’t great. The staff were in a rush so it wasn’t a great experience overall.
Always consistent, amazing bread and canele lovely brunch.
Very rude customer service. Treated my wife and I as if we didn't belong. The woman at the counter was very snarky and mean. Theres another bakery right around the corner of this place called Cou Cou Rachou and its A MILLION TIMES BETTER THAN THIS PLACE!!
Everytime I come to MarieBette, I am never disappointed. The coffee and pastries are absolutely phenomenal! The staff are also very helpful and kind. Definitely would recommend this cafe time and time again!
Great service and tasty pastries and brews. Good for a grab and go or outdoor coffee chat. Few seating options inside, and several outdoor tables. Fairly easy to find parking. My favorite baguette in town.
On the pricey side but everything there is delicious.

Amazing bakery! My favorites are the pain au chocolat, the chocolate chip cookies, and the flourless chocolate cake (you can tell I love chocolate); but the baguettes and tartes are also wonderful. The London fogs and decaf lattes are usually very good as well!
Great bakery! The pastries are really good, too. Their coffee is good and some of the people making it for you will surprise you with cool latte art sometimes. It can be hard to get a seat here, but I think that just speaks to how good their coffee and pastries are. It can be a little difficult to find parking here, too. The lot is behind the bakery but they share it with some other businesses, so be careful you are parking in an available spot and not a reserved one.

Best chocolate almond croissants in Virginia. Whenever I'm in Charlottesville I pick up a 1/2 dozen of them and a 1/2 dozen of their croissants. The salted pretzel croissants are fantastic as are the palmiers l.
Cute, authentic, charming, vibey, delicious. I went here with my daughter and this place hit a lot of cafe vibes off on my checklist. Not a spacious place but a good place. I don't know what coffee they brew but it was delicious, seriously. I had mine black and it was very good. I like it and I want to go back. I hit up Charlottesville every once and a while and MarieBette is on my "gem spots" for that city.
My only complaint is I wish they were open for longer hours because I love this place. Breakfast sandwhich on the baguette with gruyère is our go to.
This bakery is great! We got drinks and sandwiches. The vegetarian sandwich selection isn’t super diverse, unfortunately. They were very accommodating when I asked for turkey instead of ham on my sandwich. The coffee was also great! I didn’t purchase any pastries but they all looked delicious.
I can only speak for the bakery items, but this is truly the best bakery in town. Variety of items, all DELICIOUS. The quiche was amazing, even cold. Highly recommend, but expect to wait in line on weekends.
I love this Place! I grew up in Switzerland and am so grateful to have MarieBette to provide me with crispy golden croissants, delicious pastries and authentic breads. The staff is pleasant and provides great service, there is space to sit down, chat and enjoy the relaxed atmosphere inside as well as outside. A true gem.
One of if not the best pastry’s little bakery in Cville! Everything here are delicious. Highly recommend are the petite Canale’s.
