I never been to this town in my life but I tasted this coffee beans. I ordered it from Whole Foods. And then I ordered it from their headquarters. I am a Coffee addict and I lived everywhere between Texas, California, Chicago, Maine, Pennsylvania, Kansas. And I tried so many coffee beans in my life. This is by far one of my top three in the United States. If I love someone who loves coffee I will gift him the Ethiopian roast from Grit Coffee. Sincerely, Ahmad A
Employees super friendly
Ordered two oat milk lattes and two breakfast sandwiches for $30 (not a bad price but the $1.25 for oat milk was more than I'm used to even in cities like NYC, DC, and Chicago). The sandwiches were dry but were still okay. The coffee was okay as well but the customer service was disorganized (people who ordered similar things after us were served first and our to-go food was left sitting for about 10 minutes despite the store not being crowded and there being 4 people behind the counter).
Nice, little coffee shop in the town. I'm a fan of seasonal coffees and they seem to come up with quite an extensive list of unique drinks each season. I'll make it a point to check it out whenever I'm in town.
Delicious avocado toast for an incredibly reasonable price with generous portions! I didn’t get a chance to try the coffee but the food here is fantastic, along with warm and friendly service. I’ll definitely return!
This establishment has good coffee but there seems to be some issues with ording food. Staff seem unfamiliar with the menu. Once I received and entirely different item than what I ordered. They have also forgotten to bring out the side dish almost every time I've ordered. Additionally, the food is of differing quality. Sometimes it's very good, but I've have 2 times where I have had undercooked food. Once I had an egg burrito that contained portions raw eggs and I recently had a turkey and swiss melt with cold turkey and cheese.
I always enjoy the breakfast burrito and espresso. Gets very busy on Sunday morning. Very friendly staff. Limited seating in front area, but large back room and also outdoor seating.
Iced chai tasted like cinnamon water. Rude staff because we showed up close to closing.
Had great lattes. You have to get the code to go to the bathroom. That seemed to confuse a lot of people while we were there.
Morning walk to downtown Pedestrian Mall in search of coffee from our hotel. Greeted by two women working, and I do mean working, not a second of rest, this place was busy! But they were so friendly! Small standing area to wait for order, ample seating in back room, several bar stools at counter area, and outside seating available. We waited 15+ minutes for our drinks. In the time from our entry into the shop from us leaving, approximately 20 minutes, the batista did not stop making drinks for a second. The second batista was equally busy taking orders and serving food. They were a well-oiled machine, working together. I ordered an iced Chai coffee with almond milk, hands down THE best Chai flavor I've had! It was worth the wait! Now, knowing how good the coffee was, I wished we had ordered food...next time!
Very nice tasting espresso and good internet
Pretty disappointed. I got a spooky boo latte and it was luke warm at best and lacked any flavor. Staff seemed really disorganized and cashier left the register and ignored the line for at least 5 minutes to label cups. *Edited review to update to 3 stars. I appreciate the follow up on my experience.
Went here Sunday morning. Read good reviews and saw a long line so I assumed coffee was good. Ordered a spooky bear latte and a hot chocolate for my husband. The latte wasn’t hot, I know they were busy but I’d be patient for my latte to come as ordered. My husbands hot chocolate he said was really bad, didn’t taste much chocolate and when we took the lid off to look it was barely darker than just milk. I could tell they were short staffed and I feel bad leaving this review but staff were not even acknowledging that there were people in line, just seemed to ignore them until they caught up with the online orders.
I have been going to this Grit location for years and it’s usually a great experience. Yesterday, I ordered a “macchiato” and got a blank stare. The barista said, with an attitude, “We’ll just make you a latte”, which is not what I wanted. Have never had a barista not know how to make a “macchiato” ! ☹️
Neat place friendly folks! I ordered "the townie" no questions asked BEST BREAKFAST BOWL EVER! get the fried egg with it! Thank you Anna Second time here! ordered "The Grad" another awesome breakfast bowl !!! Sunday @ 10am is a bit busy, but my bowl came quick !
Really friendly people! Coffee is just the right strength and the breakfast is really good. Gotta love the homemade breakfast potatoes.
Poor experience getting yelled at over adding an ounce of milk to my espresso. Would not recommend.
Super friendly, helpful barista. Had the High Five and it was super tasty. I really only wandered in looking for a drink and a restroom (hard to find on the Downtown Mall), but I really enjoyed my drink (and restroom!) so much that I will plan to come back! Right across from the incomparable Magpie Knits, so great location!
Very nice little coffee shop in the heart of historic down town. The only down side is no blended drinks.
Great coffee but also my favorite breakfast sandwich in town.
