Much better food (and prices) than chain coffee shops.
First time visiting and will be back. Super cool atmosphere and delicious food.
Great little coffee shop. They have a nice selection of baked goods with vegan options. Lovely place to get breakfast or lunch. They even have a bunch of gifts like candles, homemade jams and pickles, tea towels. I love their vegan blueberry banana bread.
Perk is a gem in the Bon Air area! Great staff, food and area for kids.
The food was great , the coffee was delicious
Great food and I love all the local products you can buy there.
Great place! Today was my first visit and I loved it. Good vibe.
I really want to like this place, but the quality of both the food and beverages varies so wildly every time I go that I can't justify giving them another chance 😩 Most recent visit was the worst yet, received the sorriest excuse for a bagel I have ever seen, not only given a plain cream cheese instead of what I ordered (works), but it was laughably small and looked like a hotdog bun bent into a vague circular shape. Espresso was weak and sour. They could benefit from spending less time managing their social media and learning how to turn out consistently good products.
Sam was amazing! Loved the fruit tea she recommended & excellent service. Will return!
Nice ambience. Great cafe au lait coffee ($3.10) with grilled and sliced warm soft bagel sandwich with your choice of fresh ingredients( bagel - 2.25 $ and each ingredient costs 0.50 cents)
Ordered the Raynanator based on the barista's recommendation-- delicious! Quick service and not a bad price. The shop feels a little crowded near the door, but I appreciate all the local items they showcase. Will definitely be back :)
We used to order to-go from here regularly (lattes are great; bfast sandwiches mediocre and light on protein) but now nobody ever—and I mean ever—answers the phone and online ordering is RARELY available. It’s such a hassle to give them business, so we just stopped.
Great little spot! Coffee shop and market serving breakfast, baked goods and sandwiches for lunch.
Great service, upbeat family atmosphere including diapers in the restroom and orange ricotta scones to die for!
The mocha has a unique flavor here. I absolutely love it!
Food& drinks 8/10 Service 10/10 Environment 10/10 Wished it was bigger but if you find a seat enjoy it.
If you haven't been to Perk, I'm just going to assume that you don't live within driving distance. Now 8 years old, it is a distinctly cozy neighborhood coffee shop and lunch spot. Inclusive and loving, they have good coffee, good food, and good people working there. I have eaten far more than my share of coconut bars, tiny hand pies, and Friday's frittata, which gets fought over by pretty much everyone because there's never enough no matter how much they make. I occasionally wish there were more tables, in lieu of the shelves with local goods, but I can't be too upset when I can snag handmade greeting cards and local honey along with my pimento cheese sandwich for lunch to take home. So go! Try everything. And if you're going on Friday, go early and order ahead.
Their pecan bars and Chai lattes are amazing! Top service, and its just a lovely place to treat yourself for a treat and coffee.
Stay away this place is a complete rip off, 8 dollars for 2oz machiato really what a waste of space
Nice local coffee shop filling the niche that Bon Air has always lacked. The coffee is excellent. Very good homemade pastries (yes to the orange scones), light fare, and free wi-fi. The children's play area was converted to seating during the pandemic; many parents will miss it, but the additional seating is welcome. The tables and chairs could stand an upgrade. Perk achieves a nice balance between family-friendly and business-friendly.
