A+ food and service. We came across this place completely by accident and it was one of the best things on our vacation. We had the Stuffed Grape Leaves, and then the Mixed Grill Kebab with some Lavash bread. We got 3 breads for the 2 of us and it was perfect. Drink menu was lovely (beer for me, wine for her)and dessert looked great but we had no more room. Easily (besides River Roost Brewing) the best part of WRJ. Also, a great Turkish store with goods and spices across the street!
The food wasn't bad but more choices would have been nice. And more traditional Turkish food would have been good too.
Great place to have lunch with family and friends. Vegetarian and vegan options are available.
The food is good not great, but very expensive for the portions, nearly 20 dollars for very little food, I ate it all and am still hungry, not bad quality but not worth the price.
Very cool place and amazingly delicious food! Dessert and a latte we're also fantastic, and the service was impeccable. Loved it!
went for a family dinner. The reviews are correct: very tasty food, great service, great place to spend with a family
Great for a cafe vibe in the day or a more elevated dinner space in the evening. The lamb and swordfish are particularly delicious
Tuckerbox is a treasure. My family and I love this restaurant and need to visit it more often. The flavors are authentic and the food is cooked perfectly. The meze appetizer is perfect for sharing and sets the tone for the deliciousness of the incoming entree. We can't recommend the kabobs enough. The beef tenderloin is incredible and the spices in the chicken marinade are perfection. Don't forget to save room for dessert! The rice pudding and Turkish delight will not disappoint! Many places can't seem to make rice pudding correctly but Tuckerbox was spot on! Next visit I hope to be there earlier in the day to have Turkish coffee. Highly recommend!
Made the mistake of ordering seafood in Vermont. Ordered the swordfish kebab and it was absolutely terrible. Overcooked, over salted, dry, and kind of expensive for the portion. Bartender asked me how it was, and I said the fish was off. She just smiled. I will not be coming back.
Wondering if you should try Octopus ? This is the place to do it. Our family tried it and it was amazing, not at all what any of us were expecting, even my teenage son had more than a taste ! The lamb was delicious, the atmosphere is amazing, so lucky to have this gem of a restaurant in WRJ !
The food was INCREDIBLE! Lamb Shish kebab was perfectly flavoured and the Kunefe was a nice treat.
Had an amazing lunch! From the traditional Turkish coffee to them making their own spice blends for seasonings. Do be aware they close from 3pm to 5pm to get ready for dinner, but it's worth it. If you love traditional homemade Turkish food, this is a must stop!!
You wouldn't think to get Turkish cuisine in small town Vermont, but do they deliver. Wonderfully delicious, great portions and great atmosphere. If you're in the area, you must visit Tuckerbox
Wonderful place! Make sure you have reservations or you might be waiting.
Had a late breakfast and leisurely lunch here. In a word: amazing! The service was great, the staff very knowledgeable and willing to explain everything to us. The food was extremely yummy, the atmosphere was great. I will go back for sure!
LOVED this restaurant! Staff is really great and food is amazing!! You need to try the casseroles!
Food was excellent but the portions were extremely small for the price. Staff was very friendly. The main issue we had was that they accepted a 8:30 reservation without giving us warning that the majority of the options on the menu would be sold out by then.
Top marks, once again! The restaurant was full on a Wednesday night. That says a lot about how good this place is.
Excellent place for good Turkish fare in the heart of White River Junction, VT. Often hard to snag a table, it's worth making a reservation. Cocktails are great 👍
Great food, atmosphere and amazing service. Just wish portions were a little bigger....lol
