We were wandering around on our way toe Waitsfield when we stumbled on The Sweet Spot and were absolutely extatic but the result. It was rain (neither pouring nor drizzling) and we thought we would pop in for a quick bite and warm up...but unfortunately there is only window counter service. Regardless, we ordered a Golden Milk and Chai Latte (both good) as well as a Pop Tart...but this is no ordinary Kellogg's version. This puppy is home made awesomeness-goodness...deliciosso! So could I had another...and could easily have had 6 more. Very flakey puff pastry surrounding a filing (we had apple and another of strawberry) with a sugar glaze. You gotta try one. Enjoy!

The salad with the ginger coconut dressing is one of the best salads I’ve ever had, and the tomato bisque was equally impressive. The coffee was delicious, the setting was lovely, and the containers, etc. were compostable.

Note this is now outdoor counter serve only, and I miss the vibe inside; nothing else is lost. Their food and treats are perfect (I’m grateful they have the spectacular frittata), energy is right and the location is, of course, unparalleled. Very limited menu and hours are a fact, but don’t reduce the rating! Add to all this the eggplant sandwich (eggplant not your thing? Well, we all have somewhat to learn), and super fresh and lovely salad…this is a place I travel for!

We visited Waitsfield this summer and stopped by The Sweet Spot and it was delicious. We followed up lunch with some ice cream sandwiches, and Oh, my was that a treat! I had the French macaroon with Chocolate ice cream and it was the most delicious combination I have ever had. The Mint Oreo Ice Cream tasted like someone ground up fresh mint from the garden. It was so refreshing (my 8 year old loved it). My husband (Coffee with Brownie sandwich) and kids (my youngest had the Salted Caramel between Chocolate chips) also thoroughly enjoyed theirs... so much so that we needed to visit again another day. The beautiful outside seating was just a lovely bonus!

The outdoor eating area overlooking the river is very pleasant. Drinks and treats were good as well. Perfect rainy day chilling!

Amazing spot off the road and right on the river. The strawberry rhubarb homemade pop tart was incredible as well as the savory potato egg and cheese. Great mid-bike snack break!

Best ice cream sandwich EVER, IMHO. The Sweet Spot offers traditional ice cream sandwiches in addition to those made with French macaroons. If you enjoy marzipan , you must try one. Also bring your patience and relax by the river while you wait. It is worth it.

A good place overall. The Cafe does a better job than most at providing clean ingredients, like organic and locally sourced. Where this operation could improve, is with using their website to update and notify their customers in real-time of when they decide to go on hiatus or when they change their hours and severing menu. The cafe is in a somewhat out of the way area unless you are an immediate local. And it's a drag when things suddenly change and the website is not updated and you drive there to discover they are closed or operating in a limited compasity.

I had the best lunch at The Sweet Spot in Waitsfield! Try the Eggplant, you won't be disappointed! The combination of flavor and textures is phenomenal! Also, the tomato soup, WOW! I can't wait to come back in warmer weather and sit on the patio by the River.

Wow. Maybe the best scone I've had. Right up there honestly maybe better than the best in Montreal. We will drive over an hour to get one then head home. It's worth 2 hours of my day.

We loved the Sweet Spot! Our lattes were great (not too sweet) & the scones were perfect. Try the date/walnut or mixed berry scones 👍

The Sweet Spot has amazing coffee drinks available, and the taste is arguably the best in The Mad River Valley. The staff there are super relaxed and chill. Go try it out, you won't be disappointed. Highly recommend getting the iced mocha latte.
