A fun and friendly main street store in St. Johnsbury...a blend of book store, coffee shop and candy store...a great combo which an entire family can take something away with. Worth a visit if in the area...and check out the rest of main street as there are a few other shops of interest. Enjoy!
This store quickly became one of our favorites when visiting St. Johnsbury over 20 years ago. Now that we live here, we are regulars! The staff are friendly, and very knowledgeable. It is the perfect place to grab a cup of coffee and explore their selection of books, candy, toys and locally sourced products.
They have amazing service and funny workers. Friends and I absolutely loved it!

The store is very nice
Boxcar anc caboose is an amazing book store. It has every genre and a coffee shop as well as a fun bus shaped jungle gym and slide for smaller kids to play on. It also has so many fun learning toys and books for every child from 0 up until they can read adult books and don't want to 0laybwith toys anymore, although I don't know that that is going to happen as I still think a lot of the toys look like lots of fun.

Great curated book selection, a must stop for the area. Also has a wonderful variety of candies as well as delicious coffee at their cafe.
Great selection of books, and the service was outstanding. They did not have a book we were looking for, so they ordered it for us and it arrived 48 hours later.
Books are a little pricey but worth it. There is also a great selection of Candy

Nice quiet welcoming space Melanie hostess awesome personable , and professional. I highly recommend this spot. A treat that temporarily takes family to a space of relaxation.
They got candy and chocolate side, they got seattles best coffee and a table where you could enjoy coffee while reading the book you just bought from their bookstore! How cool is that!
Helpful staff in a quiet, kid-friendly, sociable bookshop. Just like the kind of place you frequented in your youth. Maybe some outdoor seating for coffee conversation will appear, now the weather is warming up?
