The food is always excellent. We got the kraut burger and the lunch special which was beef goulash and cabbage. It was sooo good. They also have the best carrot cake ever. 🤤
It's been two months since my first visit to Das Cafe and I was so impressed that I'm writing a review now. We were holding a family burial in Mt Pleasant with a large family group. We called Das Cafe an hour before closing and asked if they could accommodate a large group. They welcomed us with open arms. 10 min later our group of about 30 people was seated and ordering from their menu. The food was fast and super tasty. From burgers to waffles to traditional German food and even hot chocolate all 30 of us were impressed with our food. The staff stayed late to accommodate our group and seemed appreciative of our business rather than inconvenienced. We were so impressed. They were a bright spot in a hard day! We will definitely be back when we're traveling through from out of state.
Wow! What a unique and pleasant surprise of a meal! I would drive out of my way for that unexpectedly sweet, dill gravy and mashed potatoes! The green bean soup with dill was great as well! The Reuben sandwich and Braut were pretty standard, but add the housemate saurkraut and gravy and you're in for a treat! The dill potatoes salad wasn't my favorite (I'm not a fan of bacon bits flavor). As for the breakfast, the omelette was okay. The waffle was a little dry. I would come for lunch instead. I loved everything about Das Café! I'm glad I finally got to stop in while I was in town.
So good! And a friendly atmosphere - highly recommended for everything. I got a bratwurst on a pretzel bun with german potato salad on the side. It was too big to eat like a hot dog, so I cut it all up and ate it "deconstructed." The taking a slice of carrot cake is the way to go! Super good and too big for one sitting.
Love this place food is the best and the nicest staff and the carrot cake to die for. It's a wall worth the stop you won't regret it. 💯 🌟 in y book.
The best place to eat in Sanpete! Service is fast and friendly, the food is beyond delicious.
The food is always good. Service with a smile seems to be a hit-and-miss situation at the Das. I avoid going there because of the very negative experiences I've had with grumpy, unfriendly servers, but when somebody else is paying I do enjoy going. This visit we had a very friendly server, hence the four stars for service. I would generally give them one star for past service. The atmosphere is quaint, clean & comfortable.
Their prices are significantly higher than on the menu. They say it's because of inflation, but the increase in the costs of their meals is significantly higher than the increase of inflation. The waitress was a sweetheart. And the cafe is cute.

The food is good! The carrot cake is absolutely perfect. Never had better. Go, if for just the carrot cake. You will be glad you did.

Absolutely delicious. I've eaten at Das Cafe several times. I was able to enjoy a meal last weekend and it was perfect, delicious and had a wonderful time. Would highly recommend eating here!!
I was doing the Salt to Saint relay bike ride this past weekend and had heard about the carrot cake. So we drove off course during one of the legs of the relay just to try the carrot cake. It was definitely worth the detour. Some of the best carrot cake I have ever tried. We will definitely be going out of our way again next year for this wonderful carrot cake.
This is a great little Cafe. The food is authentic and the service is great. I love their Ruben sandwich with the potato salad. I have also enjoyed their soup and salad.
