Nice Café, good service, very good coffee (hot and cold)
food was fine but service was not the best and music was too loud to hear orders being called
The Breakfast Tots and Cappuccino were great. Staff were super friendly.
A great place to grab a well made espresso and breakfast on Saturday mornings.
very friendly staff, yummy burrito
Food was average quality however we came in 30 minutes before close, and were greeted with a condescending tone and snarky attitude. Upon checkout they reminded us multiple times that they were closing in 30 minutes. I understand the slight inconvenience, but that was not all. We received all food in to-go boxes, which were so kindly presented to us by the employee dropping the food on our table. Nonetheless, it was made evident that they perceived us as a burden. Overall, terrible reflection of the University and the hiring process.
UPDATE: Burgers are back and so much more! This location doesn’t have the burger anymore which is unfortunate BUT it is at the 9th and 9th location so for anyone who was as sad as I was, move on over to Publik kitchen.
Pleasantly surprised to find this little coffee shop by the University. I used to go to Big Ed’s all the time and they’ve done a good job keeping the old charm of the location alive while making it a really nice coffee shop with delicious fresh food and not very expensive.
Most recent outing I had so much hair in my panini I couldn't finish it...
Beautiful espresso, a culinary experience in a tiny glass.
A chill little place that features coffee, food and beer. Very friendly staff. Stop by.
Well it is definitely your average, overpriced, gentrified hipster spot. Was hoping it was something like Big Ed's where you get an absolutely gargantuan meal for $6 that you can split with a friend or two in between class. This place has a $7 toast that is quite literally a single piece of bread. Publik is pretty damn delicious honestly but it is a disappointment that this is what replaced Ed's. Everything that made Ed's a local legend is missing from this place and that would explain why no one talks about it on campus like they did with Ed's.
Friendly staff delicious drinks
I love Publik! Best coffee, best vibes, chill people.
Pretty ok food not really over priced, small menu.
Great coffee n eats right off campus. This place takes over feom Big Ed's, a campus institution since 1968. With a somewhat eclectic menu, coffee products and beer. A more upscale coffee experience with a laid back vibe.
Great spot for a quick bite. I love the decor, a great update that still pays tribute to the legacy of Big Ed's. The gawdawful is just as good, if not better than before. I didn't get to try any of the beverages, but I will next time and update accordingly.
Very nice update and menu
Can't tell you how great their burgers are! They're the reason I go. While the portions are just a tad small (they're still not bad) the place is quaint and staff is very polite and attendant
So so yummy. The big salad was so delicious. Loved all the pickled veggies, burger was so good as well. Staff was super nice and loved sitting outside. My hubby said the chili was the best chili he’s ever had. Will definitely be going back on the regular. Great job!!!
