Downtown SLC coffee shop with lots of room for conversation or working. Great atmosphere, exceptional service and friendly staff.

This place is pretty great! I came here on a recommendation I got a while back, took me a while but I finally got to try this place out! I went there for their pour over, but they don't offer it in their menu anymore, a real shame. Their coffee is fantastic though, and they use beans by Blue Copper. I also got toast with my coffee, I asked for a recommendation and it was super good! Great rec, would definitely have this again. The atmosphere of the building is so relaxing and chill, a great place to read or study when it's not too busy. I'd love to try more toast combinations and hope that they officially bring back the pour over.

Eh not very satisfied. Iced latte has no milk In it. I ordered two toasts and a scone to go. $40 and I didn’t even get the scone and didn’t realize till I had left it wasn’t in the bag. Overall bummer paying $40 for 2 coffees and 3 baked goods

Interesting locations don't make up for poor attitudes and insanely overpriced goods. Had to step over someone passed out on their front steps then payed nearly $12 for an OJ and a tiny little muffin.

I can't say enough good things about Cafe Juniper. Church and State is such an incredible community space full of creativity, fun and productivity. I got an oat milk latte was so beautiful it puts the Sistine chapel to shame. Hanna and Nick were so fun to chat with and they made the vibe exquisite. Ask Nick to tell you a joke. I can't wait to come back and try the avocado toast. IMO, you can't say you had coffee in Salt Lake City until you've gone to Cafe Juniper.

Perfect cortado, and both the mushroom toast and the ricotta toast were delicious. Unique space with a great atmosphere. We will definitely be back when we visit Salt Lake again.

When I came in the employees looked bored and on their phones. It was completely dead.. which is totally a non issue. The issue is my decaf mocha took 30 minutes. THIRTY. I thought maybe they forgot? When I went up I asked about the decaf mocha I ordered and the barista just got mad “ughhh i forgot it’s decaf?!” in a pretty rude tone and didn’t even answer me… this is actually really important, had I not checked, they would’ve given me a regular mocha. I can’t have caffeine, I will be sick all day and up all night if I have it. Decaf has trace amounts but doesn’t make me sick or keep me up. Pay attention. I barely had time to drink it before I had to head home for a meeting. Pointless… should’ve gone anywhere else. They should also add signage outside because I couldn’t find the location at all from the outside. (Picture of how it was delivered to me….)

My first visit was grabbing a cup of chai ☕🫖 it was so-so. The atmosphere is the best. It's cute and different. Fun place to hang out and chat.

This place is a hidden gem! Literally, I've driven past here so many times wondering "What is this Church & State building??" Inside is an open floor plan with tons of comfy seating surrounded by tiny businesses and this little coffee shop. The drip coffee was absolutely fantastic and they gave me a free refill. I can't wait to bring friends back here and to try their food. Build-your-own toast options galore!
