Great coffee shop with several options. Got the cold brew latte, very good. Friendly staff and got 15% off for happy hour!
Aztec mocha is my favorite! You need to sell me the chipotle syrup because I live in Idaho. The black pepper molasses cookie was delicious too.

Not a coffee drinker but I tried some of the energy drinks and they are very sweet almost like a soda which I really like. Not sure how much caffeine is in them though and I couldn't find the nutrition facts for the drinks so I can't say how much sugar is in there, but I really like the purple one! 💜
Need to find a cup of coffee and something to eat for breakfast. Went on a walk and stumbled in here. Ordered a coffee with shot of espresso. Coffee was excellent, been a while since I had a great cup of coffee besides home. Also got a breakfast sandwich that was good but nothing stellar. Definitely coming back for another cup.
Located on S. Main Street in downtown SLC. Walked and was greeted immediately. I met one of the co-owners who took our coffee order, The Viking and The Viking Red Thunder. Which is mocha flavoring added to The Viking. As we were getting comfortable, over order was ready. This engine my 1st time at Alpha Cafe, I did not know what to expect. My Viking Red Thunder was hot, rich and sweet. Compared to where I am from, this was not cheap coffee. However, as my friend said, "You get what you pay for." Good $ spent. Not a fan of "Sbucks". This coffee blows them out of the water. Good coffee, good company and good conversation made for an awesome experience. This is a local, small business with an internet presence. Am wishing we had this where I live. Five stars!
The coffee here is just built different. The baristas are awesome, and you can tell they are really passionate about their craft. Definitely the best coffee experience I've had in Utah, hands down.
Airy, inviting space to sit and enjoy a coffee in downtown SLC. Grounds for Good is a worthy program to support!

I love Alpha. Great coffee, friendly staff and veteran owned. I go in 2 or 3 times a week as well as buy from the shelf to make my own at home. You can buy bags of whole bean that they will grind for you if needed. They will do special grinds such as needed for a French press at no extra charge. All the special drinks are super tasty, i have yet to try any food. Love the user seating level. Great place to read a book, do a little homework or jump on the lap top. I've only had 1 mistake made, ever. A simple short fill on a special drink I picked up on the way to work. Nbd...cause the best part.. when I open the entry door, I'm greeted with a smile and a hello by name!! Thanks for the uplifting part of my every day busy lolige and thanks for knowing my name! Keep up the outstanding work!
Such a great coffee shop with awesome pastry’s and extremely helpful staff. I’m not a coffee drinker but they suggested the best coffee combo and I loved it!
If you're looking for a great coffee spot in Salt Lake City, you should definitely check out Alpha Coffee Cafe. My fiancé and I recently visited and we were very pleased with our experience. I started off with the Cleopatra, which was a standout drink. This iced coffee had a rich flavor and was incredibly smooth. It was definitely one of the best iced coffees we've ever had. The iced americano was also a solid choice, a classic coffee option that did not disappoint. For food, I ordered the bacon burrito and the lemon poppyseed scone. The burrito was packed with flavor and complemented the Cleopatra very well. The scone was good, although I wished it was a little more moist and had a stronger lemon taste. Overall, we were very impressed with Alpha Coffee Cafe. The Cleopatra was the standout drink, but everything else was also very good. We would highly recommend this cafe to anyone in the area looking for a great way to start their morning. I would rate Alpha Coffee Cafe 4.5/5
It was a great place. Ambiance and service were amazing. Coffee and coffee cake was yummy. Staff was very friendly and courteous. The only thing I can suggest is to include more savory items and have some options for meatless and chicken dishes.
This was an unexpected find… I thought I knew all the coffee shops in the downtown area. We went there late afternoon, but ended up getting a breakfast sandwich and coffee. I literally am still thinking about the coffee I had. SO good, will be back.
Great place. Love the ambiance. Just found out today that there's a separate entrance to the cafe so you don't have to go through the revolving doors. Thrilling. Next time I look forward to feeling like a patron instead of just an interloping vagrant. Love the coffee here by the way!

Excellent breakfast and mocha at the Alpha Coffee Cafe in SLC. Loved it. The barista was awesome - very helpful and crafted my mocha to perfection. The croissant breakfast sandwich was large and delicious. It was a great start for my first day in Utah. I highly recommend. Thank you!
Really good place for delicious coffee and quick bites. The vibe of the cafe is very cool and modern, but their specialty drinks are what people come for. I had the iced spartan coffee (it was amazing) and a bacon breakfast burrito that was tasty. I also heard from friends that the Viking coffee is very good. The staff is very friendly and give good recommendations. They also have plenty of seating on two levels.
