Sorry - Food was so dry . I like olive oil, saucy . 2 stars because at least they don’t charge unfair prices, this didn’t feel mom and pop or fine dining felt like the school lunch with bagged chips for a side wth

THIS is an Italian Restaurant! You know you're in a REAL Italian place when the OWNER personally seats you and tells you what's the Special for the day. From owner Alex, to every person we came in contact with, we were the center of their attention. We met up with an old Army buddy of mine that we hadn't seen in 37 years and man did he pick the perfect spot! I had the Alex's Special...Spaghetti w/Meat sauce and a Meatball from Heaven! My wife got the Lasagna. Both were FANTASTIC! We look forward to seeing Alex and his crew EVERY time we come to Ogden!

Very friendly staff and the owner came out to visit and explain some of the menu items. The eggplant parmigiana was excellent, I had a special the pesto chicken on a bed of angel hair it was just ok. A little dry and minimal flavor on the sauce. My special was around 26.00!! Over priced for sure compared to comparable Italian and restaurants in general . The parmigiana was only 18.00. we also got a delicious strawberry champagne cake. Made fresh by the owners daughter. I gave four stars because of the wait for the food about 30 minutes and the over priced special. Two plates and a piece of cake for 70.00 including tip. They have some delicious looking lunch dishes that are more reasonably priced.

Genuinely a uniquely friendly restaurant. The owner seated us, introduced us to the specials and incredible desserts of the day, and told us a joke! The food is very fresh and satisfying Italian. Make sure you get a dessert, even if it's to go!

Rovali's is always fantastic. They have a lot of delicious options, daily specials, specialty drink and dessert menus, and even gluten free options! Its a go-to for me and my SO.

Loved eating here. The food was amazing and I can’t wait to return! Edit: I’m updating my review, because Rovali’s exceeded my expectations again on my recent visit. This time I tried their special, the roast and it was tender and delicious! I never have room after dinner for dessert, so I will have to plan a special visit just for that in the near future.

Not my kind of Italian food (I was just in Italy 5 months ago). The prices listed here are about $2 less than IRL. So for the Trio I paid $17.99 instead of $15.99. It came with Alfredo (blah/bland), ravioli - meh 🫤, and lasagna. Strangest lasagna I ever had - it was like lasagna noodles layered with cheese covered in meat sauce - leaving me asking - Where’s Da Beef?!?!? Absolutely NO meat but since it didn’t have zucchini ???? It was therefore the meat sauce. 🤔 very tomato-y. I also ordered a side of steamed veggies, they came cold for about $5. The food wasn’t hot, maybe luke warm at best. Got the cheese cake to go (it looked good) on the way out the door - for $8 - was a bit too sweet for me and the crust, though thick, was very crumbly. For the price, not worth it.

The friendly owner greeted us like we were family. The whole restaurant is very warm and inviting. The minestrone soup is flavorful. Pretty decent garlic cheese bread. The roll that comes with your food is to die for. I had the Prosciutto Tortellini Alfredo and I will be getting that again next time I go here. We usually go to Stella’s for Italian date night, but we may start going here instead! Cheaper options, all of the appetizers were better that Stella’s, and their entree was about equal for me. All in all, very glad I happened upon this place and I’m sure it will become one of my regularly attended restaurants.

Best Italian dishes, and superior customer service. The atmosphere is great, but we will request a table away from the large windows adjacent to the outside sidewalk. Chocolate Decadent cake is luscious for chocolate lovers.

Only gave 4 star for one reason. The owner himself sat us and had a very professional introduction and display of offerings. He asked if we were first time customers which we were. The food was really good as were the drinks. However after finishing our meal, there was no inquiry of our satisfaction. I figured a place with such a great welcome and presentation would be very interested the overall experience of a first time customer. I will return for many positive reasons, and my experience was good.

I ordered the spaghetti and meat sauce. I assumed like a Bolognese sauce. This was more like a spicy Arabiatta sauce. It cleared my sinuses. I'm a bit confused about this place. The service was very good and food came out in a more than timely matter. But the food was only marginally good at best. We also had the fried zucchini. It tasted like they ordered it in bulk from a food service company. I won't be back to eat here. My wife had the lasagna and said it was not great. Here is the thing. She was there with a group a month earlier and said the food, lasagna included, was amazing, yet, was very different this time. Did they change owners or chefs? Honestly it seems like this place is trying to be an Italian restaurant but doesn't really know how to make basic Italian food. The desserts were ok, too. They have a pass-able tiramisu and cannoli but the rest seem like they came from a Mexican bakery. If you want great service same marginal food, go here. I would rather have excellent food and marginal service.

Been here a few times. Everything has always been really good. I mean there’s not a bad dish on the menu. Service is always fast and friendly. The owner always has a great joke. Just be prepared to wait for a table. It’s busy for a reason.

Four of us ate at this restaurant last night and loved it. The blue cheese salad dressing was unique and delicious! And my chicken parmigiana was great! My wife got a combo with lasagna and liked it a lot. The pizza also looked wonderful. The service was great and the bright colors inside and outside the restaurant were very cheerful. Can’t wait to go back. Wish we lived closer. Update: We went to this restaurant again tonight. We had pre-ordered a birthday cake that was chocolate cake with whipped white frosting. It was also fantastic!
