Best coffee friendly staff great place to be
Awesome coffee spot with great coffee, food, and amazing customer service!
I love the Mexican mocha! The employees and owner are so sweet and welcoming, and the shop is so cute! I can't wait to visit again when I'm in town from Texas.
Very chic place, didn’t feel like I was in Utah (WHICH I LOVED!). Great space too, both inside and outside - outside even has some covered tables. This was my first time there and I’d really been wanting to visit. I got an iced chai (their chai is made in house) I wanted to love it, but only liked it, a bit to watery for my taste. That being said, I wish I would have tried their coffee, so I’ll be back again for that & might up to 5stars then. I didn’t realize they have a drivethru & it looked like there’s additional on-site parking in the back (in case the on-street parking is all taken).
Best coffee shop in Utah, and if you disagree I have to kindly tell you you're wrong. Best batistas in the state, literally have won awards. Haven't had a drink I didn't finish on the way home because I can't stop sipping. The atmosphere is great and it seems like inclusivity is something they work for.
Update: Been a year since I last visited. I got the Fighting Irish this time. Had them make me a 16oz iced with an extra shot (so 3 shots of espresso) even with the extra shot I can’t taste the coffee. It’s so sweet at first I wondered if they forget the espresso. I got a sausage bacon cheddar scone which is actually just a biscuit with 2 small strips of bacon and little chunks of sausage on top held there with melted cheese. It was given to me room temperature and tasted like it had been sitting for a couple days. Very disappointed. Still no where comfortable to sit either. I’m dropping my rating from a 4 star to 2 star. Not sure if I’ll be back. Previous Review: Lots of options. Almost to many. No where to really sit, relax, and enjoy your coffee. Love that they have the little crushed ice. Iced Chai was good. I'd go back if I was in Midvale again.
I came here with my husband to try it out, since we found this place on Google maps; I felt excited to see a Mexican themed coffee shop since the name is in Spanish and the cats are day of the dead themed. I assumed it was a Mexican owned business; not to be mean or rude, but that was not the case when we walked in. Cute spot, the coffee is alright, but I feel a little upset about how they choose to theme their shop and I don’t feel like it’s culturally appropriate. Especially the day of the dead aspect, that’s a celebration of life in Mexico to honor those who have left us and I don’t feel like using that to make your logo cute is appropriate when you probably don’t celebrate it and your social media doesn’t bring any awareness to Mexican culture or the holiday. They also don’t seem to respond kindly to negative reviews instead of being professional and using it to better your business so I imagine my review will be taken down and seen poorly by the owner instead of realizing the harm they are causing. Personally, I will not be returning.
I ordered a breakfast sandwich and a breve latte. Tasty! I understand that their specialty drinks, with mixes of flavors and such, are their specialty. I'd like to come back and try those too.
Such good coffee, loved the oatmeal cookie breve. Baked goods are delicious and great service. love this coffee shop.
I've been wanting to check this place out for a while, and I finally had my chance to go! First and foremost, outdoor seating is nice and roomy. Indeed, there is a lot of room for a big group. Walking in, we were welcomed with high energy from the employees. As well as the calm and relaxing atmosphere of the inside. Very spacious for sure. The menu had some great choices to your usual Mocha frap to seasonal special drinks one can order (if they are available). Great pastries and sandwiches if one is up for an afternoon snack. Lots of merchandise and souvenirs one can purchase to remember their visit. Their pastries are vegan friendly. It's definitely a coffee shop that caters to many. It is pet friendly due to their outdoor seating and have a section where you can leash your fur friend/buddy/baby. NOT allowed indoors, sadly. It is a must visit for any major to casual coffee lover and also a great local shop to visit and enjoy your day. Will definitely visit again, and it could even be my local coffee shop from now on.
So delicious!!! 😋 I really loved it!!! they have great service!! They also have table games for the fam!! But no just any .... no no no no...!!.... They got table card games, I really loved em.. also water fountain really cool 🧊🥤🧊 they also have a really fancy patio area really nice ... Coffee and the staff OMG!!!! THANK YOU VERY MUCH!!! We absolutely love Tres Gatos! The coffee is always great and the staff is always super helpful and friendly. The food isn't spectacular but that's not really why we go.
I love this place. I mostly go for an iced dirty chai with oat milk, which is delicious every time. My last visit, I was craving something different and got an iced caramel macchiato which blew my mind. It was so good. I want another one right now. Also I’m a fan of their punch card program— your 10th drink is free, and it can be any drink, any size. They have soda too, if you come with a non-coffee drinking friend. The employees are so friendly every time. Expect a wait when you come on the weekend (as with any coffee place), but it’s worth it, and every customer is well taken care of even when they’re busy. I can’t recommend Tres Gatos enough!!
The house chai is insane. The whole spot is amazing. The staff there is so sweet!! Love them!!
My sons & I loved this coffee shop. I had hot chocolate that was so creamy & good. We first picked place because of name & location from our hotel. We will be back on next visit to Utah.
Coffee was okay but not great. The brownie, however, was the worst I’ve had in my life. A shame there’s not better coffee in midvale.
It was my first time trying Tres Gatos Coffee today, and I can happily say that it won’t be my last! Everyone working was so extremely kind and friendly. They answered all of my questions with a smile on their face. It felt like such a genuinely positive environment! I got the Nutcase Latte with pistachio and oat milk and I loved it. They even have a drive thru which is so convenient. I’ll definitely be back!
Great atmosphere, delightful service, good coffee.
This is my favorite coffee shop in salt lake!! Everyone is so nice, the coffee is always soooo good, and the environment is so welcoming and inclusive.
I love this place!!! They are amazing, friendly, kind, and their products are so fantastically delicious! They have many vegan options. Support your local businesses.
