A lovely chocolate tasting experience, perfect for a weekend activity. We were greeted by Steve who gave us a good overview of the Aggie Chocolate history as well as the tour of the chocolate manufacturing process. There are many great selections at the store and the price is very reasonable. The chocolates are tasty and unique and we enjoyed our time. These are locally made in Logan, Utah. Shop local and Go Aggies!
The tour was great
I went here with some girl friends!!! Best chocolate ever, such a fun activity and so yummy!
So we haven't been to the factory (yet), but we did go to the Reindeer Express that the Aggie Vet school put on, and they were one of the exhibits. And oh my gosh. The hot chocolate is AMAZING. We ended up buying two bags (plus some of their other stuff). You can totally tell the difference in their chocolate and other brands. This stuff is the real deal. 10000% recommend it
Saw their booth at the Cache Valley dairy and Cheese Festival (if you haven't gone before put it on your calendar to go next year, it's so fun). We went and did the free tour later on. It was interesting! Took maybe 10-15 min. Free sample of a small "nib" from a cocoa bean. The chocolate is pricey but your paying for the real deal here. The girl who did our tour was very nice.
I'd highly recommend the free tour, it is fun and informative on the process of how they make their chocolate, it was neat.
Awesome place and terrific experience. Had a great tour and the staff were so kind to offer me coco powder to purchase instead of just what they had on the shelf. They really went the extra mile.
This is an amazing place! Maybe not as famous as USU ice cream, they definitely deserve more attention! Thank Professor Martini, we learned so much about chocolate today, cocoa butter+cocoa powder=cocoa beans...Raspberry frozen hot chocolate, with bitter cocoa beans mixed with sweet cream, is too nice, beyond my words.
Amazing frozen hot chocolate
A hidden shop tucked in student housing? I drove past it twice, as it is tucked in a courtyard and very tricky to find. Inside is an interesting layout and they offer a small tour of the process. I tried several of the chocolates and they are very fruity, as to be expected when eating single source chocolate, however their milk chocolate bar is far from milk. The Aggie Bar is truly milk chocolate, but it is separate from their lineup. The Conching Machine is named Augustus Gloop though and they truly do bean to bar which is something few places can claim. Overall, definitely with a visit.
My wife and I tried the raspberry frozen hot chocolate last night and now we may need to make a budget for it! SOOOO GOOD! We're excited to go to the chocolate tasting date night!
We went to the Date Night and it was way fun!
Taste testing was fun and delicious.
My family had an amazing time! Ellie took us on a tour and it was hands-on and included a taste-test of a cocoa bean. My kids loved it and so did my husband and I. The frozen hot chocolate was incredible. I'm glad we read other reviews and were prepared for a dark chocolate experience, because it was rich! My son must have loved his chocolate bar because it was gone before we knew it. We had a great time and will definitely add it to our list of places to visit while we are in Logan. Thank you for a fun and yummy time!
I love everything about the Aggie Chocolate Factory!! I love every uniques flavor of chocolate, and I have never in my entire life had better frozen hot chocolate. It is now my new favorite drink! The frozen hot chocolate comes in 3 different flavors. Chocolate, Raspberry, and Salted Caramel. All three are delicious. If you are a chocolate lover, the frozen hot chocolate is a must!
A disappointing experience. We scheduled a tour and when we arrived the tour guide forgot so one of the workers just did it. It wasn’t really a tour just her sharing some facts about chocolate for 10 min. They convinced us to buy some chocolate at the end and it was quite expensive. Definitely not worth it! I could not even finish one of the pieces I tried because it was so bitter. I didn’t like any of them, even the so called milk chocolate. Sadly they don’t accept any refunds but they did let us exchange which was nice. We are not from Logan but won’t take time to go back here next time.
LOVE going here with friends and family! Modified this review bc hrs are 1-7 PM. They changed their hours from 9-5 PM which made it hard to go there, so glad they modified their hours again. Hours shift sometimes so keep an eye on it, but they have the best hot chocolate/frozen hot chocolate in the world.
The service was a bit slow. However, they had good food and nice service.
Nice little chocolate factory and amazing frozen hot chocolate. But I have to update my review because it very sad that they don't take cash only cards. I don't get it.
Absolutely wonderful chocolate! We also got to go on a tour directed by Dr. Silvana Martini. She was excellent at handling our large family reunion group, and interacting with everyone from the little kids to the older chocolate fans. Highly recommend!
