Our stay was a gift from our lovely daughter and my brother and his wife. We enjoyed the tour of the lodge and our stay. The tour of the galaxy in the observatory was truly spectacular and is a must to complete any stay.

Worst hotel stay I have had in a long time. They supposedly have a quiet policy there for the nighttime. However when I stayed people were screaming and running up and down the hallway until 2 am. Worst night of sleep ever. I let them know at check-out and they could care less. They don’t have a front desk clerk 24/7, but an after hours number you can call. I called the after hours number at 1 am with no response. Please don’t stay here if you actually want sleep. Room was very nice, you just can’t sleep here.

Fantastic boutique hotel. Lovely owners and special location. The lack of nearby food options requires a little planning/forethought but well worth it. Give them a try and enjoy the slower pace of life in Ogden Valley for a night or more.

I booked this place on a random recommendation from a ski patrol guy who I happened to share a lift with at Solitude. I was headed north to ski Powder Mountain and Snowbasin. After reading the reviews I decided to book three nights. I cannot remember a time when a hotel has so thoroughly exceeded my expectations. When I arrived there was a bluegrass band playing outside and there was a food truck out front. Turns out that's a 'thing' on Saturdays. The staff - to a person - was absolutely wonderful during my stay. The room was spotlessly clean, the towels super thick, and all of the furnishings were unique and really well-thought out. Throughout this place the attention to detail was amazing. A quick starter breakfast is provided every morning, as well as a complimentary coffee from the coffee shop adjacent to the lobby. Their light roast is fantastic. Did I mention the observatory? I highly recommend the observatory tour, that was a really nice bonus to my stay. The lobby and hallways have all sorts of rare and interesting ski history memorabilia. It must have cost a small fortune to build the place and put all this stuff together. Travel time to Snowbasin is about 15 minutes, and about 30 minutes to Powder Mountain. Next time I pass by this way I 1000% am staying here again. I could not have had a more pleasant stay.

Great hotel in a quaint little town. Paper thin walls that don't allow enough sound proofing to sleep, not so great☹

The Compass Rose is a quaint boutique hotel located in the heart of Ogden Valley. 360° Mountain View’s and the comfort of the stars welcome those who visit. Great place to stay and near ski resorts, hiking, New World Distillery and the oldest bar west of the Mississippi - The Shooting Star Saloon.

Beautiful and cute place. Right next to the city park, 5 minuets from Pineview, 20 minuets from Ogden. The observatory tour is a must! Definitely added some fun to our vacation. Room was very clean. I absolutely love the style and feel of the room we had. They leave a nice little breakfast right at your door in the morning so you don't have to go far for that. Overall a great experience!
