This is a classy joint. My battle buddy invited me here for a morning coffee run, and I'm glad I took him up on it. Great interior, really nice ambience, and knowledgeable staff. The house coffee is delicious. They have tables, chairs, and a bar set up if you choose to stay and enjoy your drink. My battle said that his macchiato was on point.
My favorite go to coffee shop!! Their espresso is absolutely amazing and everything here is chefs kiss. My husband gets their washed cold brew black, and I’m not the biggest fan of black coffee BUT I can drink his with no problem. The atmosphere is friendly and comfortable. Highly recommend! If y’all think this coffee is pricey, just think of the high quality ingredients they use.
At a broadway store in San Antonio, I ordered a 16 oz cold brew but it came out only filled about two thirds of the cup, which the staff said that that’s their policy. You would lose customers if that is your policy. I will not go to Merit’s coffee if not filling my cup of coffee to the top is your policy.
It’s really nice inside. The atmosphere is perfect for some casual banter or studying. I ordered the white chocolate latte and it was so good. Definitely a nice experience :)
Coffee is awesome, service is awesome. The atmosphere is wonderful. Staff is always really nice.

Nice place. Not a lot of drink options and a little too hipster for me but the lavender iced latte was pretty decent.
One of the worst customer service experiences I’ve ever had has brought me to write my very first Google Review. Female barista who attended me (12:30ish 03/04) was extremely rude. Attitude was not fitting for a storefront as she rolled her eyes and sighed when I asked about coffee options.
Love coming here. It takes about 15 minutes sometimes to get your coffee and breakfast sandwich. But we'll worth it.
the london fog scone is oh-so delicious, an absolute must. spacious cafe, relaxed vibe, good for reading or working or writing or whatever. hope to be back!
If you’re comfortable with loud music (similar to a hip hop club at 1am), broken tables, inaccessible outlets, and dirty tables/trash all over floor, then this is the place for you! I’ve been here 5-6x, and it’s always the same experience. I’ve visited many of the “trendier” coffee shops in SA, Dallas, Austin, and Houston, and this has to be one of the worst. Merit - Please train your employees and have some operating standards (music volume, floor rotations to clean tables, etc).
Amazing coffee in San Antonio. As a coffee connoisseur, it’s hard to find a better cup in the area.
The last two weeks, I had to wait 15 minutes for two iced lattes. Store was nearly empty. Please add someone to your weekday early morning shift. Gave 4 stars because employees are friendly and product is always good. But just need to staff better. Thank you. Broadway AH location

Busy place. But a very nice atmosphere with outside seating available. Coffee is really good. Good selection of pastries and tacos. Staff is very friendly and responsive. They always are friendly even when extremely busy.
Chose merit over bird bakery and immediately regretted my decision when I touched my hard-rock breakfast sandwich.First, I was expecting a sandwich bread not a bagel. I definitely wasn't expecting a burnt bagel. I am not exaggerating when I say that I couldnt bite into it until 10 mins later. I actually burnt my lips. I didn't complain because the ambience was relax and I didn't want to disturb. The batistas did seem overwhelmed and rushed-that should've been a warning sign for me. I am writing this review because I need the staff to know it is not okay to overheat food. I am upset that I didn't request my order to be redone. 😔
Almond croissants!!! I am in love with their almond butter croissants! I never thought I would repeat any restaurant so fast in San Antonio..but I keep coming and buy at least two almond butter croissants, one for dine in and another to go..so that I can watch my favorite shows on TV and enjoy the croissant..!! Will go tomorrow again!
Ordered ice coffee, peppermint mocha, two breakfast tacos and a plain bagel. Was told they would call my name when ready. Name was never called . Went to counter only to fi d out that bagel had been taken and ther were out. Was not offended another option just that they were out. I did recieve a refund, but left hungry.
Excellent service, tasty coffee -- and Iron Maiden streaming. Horns up 🤘
Good coffee shop. I feel like the coffee isn't as good as it used to be back when this was called Local Coffee.
