Been driving to Carlsbad/Pecos for the past 4-5 years and always enjoyed stopping here for a burger however lately they’ve become pushy on their political stance/ideology and it feel unfriendly to be there.

The new owners were in the process of refurbishing the place, they were not serving food yet. What a relief to find them open for a needed potty stop. They have great plans and we're very friendly and accommodating. We wish the well.

Friendly atmosphere and staff. Good place for a break. No public toilets, but bought some yummy home baked treats and coffee to be able to use. Glad this place exists on a long drive!

Wonderful food, made like you would make for yourself if you could or wanted to. Terrific service! It’s an owner operator Place and she’s been there since 1981. Great memorabilia on the tables and walls. Prices were steep though.

We stopped by...as many times before. But this time..We paid $42.00 for two burgers, onion rings and tea. Take a big roll of money with you.Sticker Shock...... The burger was good....but not that good!,,,, The menu prices were blank for a reason.

Got a chance to talk with Terry(if I am recalling correctly), who says she has been there since 1981. Sweetest lady you could meet and was very generous with her time. She told me about the area, requirements for getting water and electricity established and so on. Gave me their number for anything we might want to follow up. Genuinely nice lady. We didn't stop for food as we actually didn't know they had a grill, etc there. I have known the name for several years, it just didn't dawn on me that it was a legitimate cafe. Smelled great. :). Will have to try it out the next time we are out there.

Best burgers in Cornudas! May’s Cafe (AKA Cornudas Cafe) is the only eatery in Cornudas TX; so there is no disputing their claim as “home to the world’s best burger!” With that said, the Cornudas Cheese Burger with green Chile is a winner. The 1/2 pound of meat with lettuce, tomato and mustard was filling as were the french fries served with the meal. While the burger was really good, the fries were less so; however that is a matter of personal taste. The restaurant was clean; the staff welcoming and the service satisfactory. The only negative was the cost of the coffee: $3 per cup (of course that included refills.) This was our second visit: we first “found” this out of the way cafe in the fall of ‘21. It is a do again.

Don't get by this way often, but always stop when I do to keep the place going. The burger is good for sure but the breakfast is great. Huge delicious hotcakes, bacon and eggs, and awesome home fries like granny used to make! Thanks guys!

This was quite the sweet spot in the middle of nowhere between El Paso and Midland! We stayed in our rv a few nights, as well as eating some great food: their famous burger, onion rings and to-die-for coffee cake and brookie. Really friendly staff, tons of cute decor, and not too far from Guadalupe Mountains National Park. Make sure you’ve stocked up on gas, and beware that you might lose phone service like we did. Make sure to try some of their tasty treats, and double check their hours before you stay. Check out our full review on YouTube!

Stopped here for coffee and cake en route to Carlsbad from El Paso. It was friendly (Adrian)and delicious cake so stopped for lunch on our way back to El Paso. Once again friendly helpful staff who engaged with our two year old granddaughter.

I was going to El Passo from Stockton, Texas and this cafe caught my eyes, fortunately. It was a great road-side stop for me. I was hungry and looking for some foods. Cornudas served the burger and onion rings to my liking and I must say they are true to their claim- Home of world's best burger. I just loved the burger and onion rings there. This cafe got some nice interior decorations with Texas stuff as well as a nice gift store attached to the cafe. I checked the store as well. Best of luck guys!

We came across this gem of a place. We were headed back to El Paso after doing Carlsbad all day. We were hungry and this place was literally in the middle of nowhere and open late on a Sunday afternoon. The food was very good. The BBQ sandwich was outstanding as well as the burrito plate. We came in hungry and left full. The waitress was friendly and we also talked to the owner quite a bit since we were the only ones in there for awhile. If you are ever in the area then stop!! Also has a gift store and bakery items. Thank you again!!
