Well I wish I could say that I actually Dined at this place, yesterday was my first time ever going into this place .My daughter's and I walked and I asked to be seated, the lady looked at me as if i was crazy and said you want to order tea, I replied with no we would like to eat here she said you have to make a reservation. I said okay can I do that then. Then she started at me because I had just told her this was our first time in here I didn't know you needed to make a reservation. Then she rudely asked for my name I gave it to her she missed spelled it so I corrected her, she said that's my spelling. She only wrote my first name down then just started at me again, and then said your number. She looked mad for something. Sadly I canceled the reservation. First experience there wasn't great I can just imagine what the service would have been like actually eating there..
Has a new checkout system here that pressures and begs for tips, even on my pick-up order. Ridiculous.
Chicken spaghetti is a must try!
A tiny cute cottage on the outside. We were warmly greated. Just me and my sister. The most comforable country tea room ever! . Beautiful mixed china snd antique chairs with window dressings of doilles! The owner herself was greeting and sitting guests. Then we were waited on by a friendly staff. The owner and staff were perfetly friendly without being intrusive! The food was a easy 10!! A little pricey, but brought enough home for a delicious lunch the next day. I will be back!
Love this place friendly always come in to see if you need any more kept your glasses filled the food was great you will not go away from their. Hungry when they brought your food out it looks so beautiful and it tasted so good.

We were a party 3. We all enjoyed our meal, and the service was very good. If we get dessert it is the toasted coconut cream pie which is amazing. Our server suggested a new dessert, a mini peach cake with peach ice cream. We shared one. None of us cared for it. It was VERY RICH! Mar Teres is very good, & women especially like it.
I ordered soup and sandwich which both were delicious. One of the best Tomato Basil soups I've ever eaten with half a Chicken Salad on a Crescent. And the Toasted Coconut Pie was amazing. MarTeres Tea Room was a fabulous adventure in sharing lunch with dear friends.
Servers were very attentive. Food was flavorful. Desserts absolutely amazing!
If you’re ever in the Lufkin, TX area you need to check them out. First of all, they were so sweet when I came in- it was my first time and they gave me samples of the things they were known for. 😭😭 I told them I was gluten free, and they went above and beyond with recommendations. Everything on this plate is $13 ‼️
I had the tortellini (Alfredo sauce and chicken breast) with a garlic knot and mandarin orange salad on the side. It was very great plate and the almond tea was really yummy too! Great experience!
Pleasant atmosphere, good food
Mar Teres Tea Room is located on HWY 94 just a little ways from Loop 287 on the left. They closed down for a short while but thankfully reopened. They have the most delicious chicken salad! And some amazing desserts. The atmosphere of this place isn't like any other place you'll go to for a bite to eat. It's a must! Make sure you call and make reservations
One of my favorites! Sit back relax and enjoy one of the most palate pleasing experiences on earth. I recommend the chicken salad, the broccoli salad too, the chicken spaghetti, and you have to have the almond tea. Oh who am I kidding It’s All Great!
