Catfish is absolutely the best!
Good portions, reasonably priced and delicious chicken in the Hill Country area, in a quiet quaint town, on the way to the Colorado Bend State Park. Highly recommend.
I must admit, I stopped and ate there after going 3 days without eating and I was famished, I ordered the steak fingers plate it came with side orders of mashed potatoes and fried okra, and even having gone that long without eating the serving was so large that I couldn't eat it all. It was delicious, I understand the steak is tenderized and breaded in house non of that frozen stuff. I highly recommend it
This is the very best hamburger in the area! And don't forget about the chicken fried steak!

Great catfish and breakfast and the waitresses were excellent and friendly.
We stopped and had lunch here on our way through. It was an excellent decision. I had the chicken fried chicken, w mashed potatoes and beans. The food was great. The beans tasted like Mom had put a pot of beans on early and cooked them slow all day. The Rocking K is a great example of a good hometown restaurant, with food like you would expect from grandma's house. Mmm! Always enjoy finding a gem like this. I'm sure we'll be back next time we're through.
The shrimp plate was yummy and hot. I enjoyed looking around at the rustic pictures in this restaurant. The waitstaff was not the friendliest but it was satisfactory service.
