Nice and clean. Clean restroom. The wait was very long wait for the food. The tator tots were greasy.

Don't bother stopping here. Seemed as though they were going out of their way to be rude and ignore service to our table. This spot is not characteristic of the hospitality you'd expect to find in East Texas.

If you want to be treated very disrespectfully for no reason, go here! According to other reviews, it used to be a good place until new owners

Pretty good food! Though, the quality went down just a little since I ate there last. Wonderful staff, my waitress knows my order like the back of her hand! Cozy atmosphere.

Breakfast was outstanding and the friendly service was wonderful. Just like being at home without having to cook.

First time we have eaten here! And let me say it was awesome! Great food, great prices laid back country home cooking! The wait staff is very nice and very helpful! Definitely will be going back there and will most definitely recommend it to everyone!!! Thanks for a great meal!!

If you plan on waiting an hour or more for your food without the waitress ever checking on you, then this is your new favorite place!

They have no more of there original waitress , that were spot on with service. There are new cooks every time we eat there and they quality of the food definitely shows. I waited an hour for this chicken fried steak dinner and it came out bleeding. I don’t know what’s happening with the management , but something definitely needs to change. You can’t run a successful business when your always having to train new waitress and cooks.

Been coming here for years but the food, service, cleanliness & hospitality have all gone down hill. Had the large fish dinner tonight, fish was not cooked properly, husk puppies were not cooked at all (all doughy inside) mash potatoes were cold. Waitress never once checked on me or ask if I needed a refill of my drink ( i did and never got one) Waitress drops my plate without a word and takes off. Flys inside, floors and bathrooms dirty. They never have any soap in the restrooms for 4 month’s running now. 😩

Homemade food, nice staff. HUGE chicken sandwich! Next on my list to try here is their country buffet. I saw chicken & dumplings, green beans, and lots of other delicious food.

Since the new owners have taken over this place has crashed!! Just about a month or so ago my family ordered from here and it was absolutely amazing, but tonight was a whole different story! My husband’s shrimp still had raw batter and the fish was so limp that you couldn’t even pick it up without it breaking! The French fries were so soggy, and the cheeseburger was so greasy and there was so much mayonnaise it was running out, and the bun was so soggy I had to just take it off! Not to mention, my husband’s drink was wrong after he specifically told them 3 times what he wanted!! The old owners need to come back or just shut this place down! Definitely not worth the money!

During my time in Six mile, Texas, I went to eat here three times a week. It's the only place to eat in the area. The waitress that commonly served me was friendly and kind. I came for breakfast more than lunch but both were served as I thought the food should be served. I was preticularly happy with the hamburger steak. It was very tasty. I have a big appetite and oftentimes ordered more food after I finished the first meal but for the average person, the quantity is good and filling. The salad bar is a little bit lacking in the vegetables that are offered but the setup for space on the bar is limited so I think it is understandable. If I have any complaint it would be the "administrative" fee that is charged on the meals that I have never heard of before in any other restaurant. My final conclusion is that if you are hungry and passing through, it's worth the stop to eat there.

Cool local place. They’ve updated the interior and tweaked the menu. Still a good value and variety. Old school greasy spoon style diner food. Sausage gravy was good. Service was good. Pancakes were good. Eggs and hash browns were aight. I prefer lunch or dinner here.
