We consider Sweet Jayne’s better than Starbucks. Why risk the danger of waiting on California Street to gain access to the overcrowded Starbuck’s line when you can drive a block to Sweet Jayne’s for better coffee, tea and pastries plus support local business while saving money? Clearly a professional chef involved here. Phenomenal flavors with balance, spice, and exquisite execution. Truly a diamond in the rough. A must try for anyone passing thru town. You won't find better. Take my advice and take home a pound of pimento and a pound of grape chicken salad.
I’m here on business travel and I found this place via the stellar reviews. What a gem! Hip and modern look inside and out with excellent food and coffee choices. Funny enough my route took me by a nearby Starbucks which was backed up out into the road, yet Sweet Jayne’s is just a minute away. Skip that other place and come to SJ’s; you’ll be so glad you did! I tried the quiche, pecan bar, spicy pig biscuit and of course the amazing coffee. Wow! You have to try this place. So good!
So we were passing through Gainesville with a quick stop at the park for the kids. Well we wanted some coffee so I thought let's try this place out. Our coffees were great. That oatmeal creme pie cookie though. OMG. Delicious! And the employees were very nice. We will come back for sure!
Cute coffee shop / bakery. Wonderful food and fantastic coffee. Great place to grab breakfast, lunch, or just meet up with a friend. Wish I lived closer so I could go all the time!

Sometimes the only way I can get myself out of bed in the morning is by promising myself a Sweet Jayne’s latte and biscuit. We are so lucky to have this place in our town.

Tried them yesterday for the first time! The cookies and cupcakes were to die for and the egg nog latte was amazing-no lack of flavor here!

Amazing coffee, cinnamon rolls, and bacon cheddar biscuits! Spectacular staff, Carrie and co. were all friendly and kind. Must stop!

I love this place. They specialize in all things that bring joy to my life… coffee, chocolate chip cookies, macaroons and girl time on Friday mornings. I can’t say how blessed our little town is to have such an exceptional bake shop.
Finally tried the pimento cheese and I have been missing out on a very delicious lunch.
Bees knees is my fav latte. I just wish they had macaroons more often or at least consistently. I been told Saturdays and sometimes Friday's they have them...yet only seem to get some 1 or 2x a month. Even if it was only every third Saturday of a month EVERY MONTH... Just some consistency would be nice.
🎃 PSL lover here! Had my first PSL of the season and it is the BEST one I’ve ever had! If you haven’t had the breakfast quiche then you are missing out! I LOVE stopping in to treat myself to a yummy breakfast plus a coffee! 🖤 The whole staff is so welcoming and sweet and helpful! So happy to have this local treasure available. Do yourself a favor and stop in!
It wouldn’t be Saturday morning if we didn’t get breakfast at sweet Jayne’s. I m not above bribing my kids w macaroons or oatmeal cream pies from here😂. And it doesn’t hurt that I pick up a snack box with homemade pimento cheese and celery for myself every time we go 😍. Everything is always SO GOOD
My mom & I had coffee & breakfast here today & it was fantastic! I am in Denton, my mom is in Valley View & it is WORTH the trip!! Everything was so delicious, the place is adorable & the people are genuine. We will be back!
I’m so excited to have this fabulous bakery & coffee shop in Gainesville—it is just what this town has needed. Everything I’ve had so far has been delicious. The atmosphere is relaxing & peaceful! Great customer service as well.
