We had reservations for a Friday night, when we were told that the owner Johnny Nicholas would be performing -a major draw. Apparently the crowd wasn’t big enough so Mr. Nicholas decided to sit and talk to his buddies instead of playing. The service was indifferent. The steak and shrimp were outstanding, but the sides were cold and mushy. Same for my wife’s meal.

I gave the food 3 stars only because I have food allergies and have trouble finding items I can eat. And with a limited menu, I really struggle. But with that being said, Johnny was amazing. So cool that the owner is so extremely talented. The live music and interaction with the patrons was very cool 😎. We didn't know about the cover charge before the bill came, but I think $10/person is fair, and our local musicians need funding.

Turkey dinner was cold, at best cafeteria food quality especially for the outrageous price of each person. At least the rolls should have been warm & not stale. Sorely disappointed!!

Walked in hostess attitude was like do you have a reservation? Menu was way over priced Asked what the sides were. She said what ever the cook puts on your plate. 26.00 dollars for chopped steak ???? One and done!!!

Let's start by saying this we visited the place about 6 years ago and I thought for my wife's bday it would be nice to take her back there. We r from out of town and I booked reservation two days in advance before we arrived in town. Once we arrived it looked the same as we remembered it and we started off with drinks. My wife had a margarita and I had a glass of red wine. When the drinks arrived they brought me white wine and my wife's drink was so tart she could not drink. I ask for my red wine and my wife was to embarrassed to return her drink. A little latter we ordered dinner which we both had the catfish plates. Also we ordered a bread basket and fried orka. Not I have eaten in a lot of placed over my years but never have I been given raisin bread with a bowl of olive oil believe me it doesn't work at all. When they brought the catfish plates the fish was way was over breaded with cornmeal and had no taste at all it looked like catfish nuggets not catfish fillers. The fired orka now get this was battered the same way as the fish11 with fried jalapeños and onions mixed with it tasted like something u would not feed your favorite pet. All in all with tip it cost around d 150 for that meal that the whole establishment should have been ashamed for what they served. What a waste of time and money. I suggest that if u r looking for a great getaway go to captain ds or lo g John silver because what they served was total waste. Will never ever go back there again.

I wish I could give a better review. Fredericksburg staple for sure, just seemed slow and like they need more visitors. the enchiladas were good, and the stuffed figs were great. dont have too high expectations and you will have a fun time!
