I have loved La La Land since they first opened years ago, one of my favorite things about it was feeling so welcomed and getting quality coffee and teas! Unfortunately it seems this location has gone downhill. The wait times for drinks have gotten out of hand but even worse, the attitudes of the baristas have made me want to stop coming here all together. I consistently order 10-15 minutes ahead due to anticipated wait times from ordering as a walk in, but find I am still waiting another 10-15 minutes when I get there. Sometimes the wait is still that long even when there are very few customers in the cafe. I was honestly okay with overlooking the seemingly absurd wait times until when I went in this past week. Per usual, I ordered my drink about 10 minutes before I would arrive to alleviate wait time at actual cafe. When I arrived there was barely anyone there and I still had to wait another almost 10 minutes for my drink. This wouldn’t have been a huge issue if the drink had been being made, however it was ready. The baristas seemed more occupied with mocking a customer from earlier than putting it on the to go counter. By the time I received it, it was barely room temperature (it was a hot drink). Once again, it wasn’t necessarily the lack of caring for their job that bothered me, but rather the mocking and complaining about a customer. I understand service jobs are difficult, and everyone needs to vent, however there is a time and place. In the nicest way I can put it, the baristas at this location seemingly hate their jobs and always seem annoyed with actually serving the customers and appear to have zero care on whether the customer is waiting a ridiculous amount of time or not. I’m not sure if this location is specifically understaffed, under new management or simply lacks customer service skills, but whatever it is I hope it gets cleared up, as it used to be a great and convenient location.

I really wanted to like this place but all in all, it's overpriced, slow and I can find better coffee for half the price in the Mid Cities. The girl at the register was super sweet and attentive but after we placed our order things went downhill. Firstly, the 2 young ladies working the coffee bar were just chatting their little hearts away as people waited for their drinks. All we had was a regular latte, one iced and one hot. Why did it take 12 minutes to make these drinks and there's not many people in the cafe? Too busy talking about nonsense instead of getting orders out. Now onto the poor excuse for Pastry and avo toast. My mom got the Almond croissant yet there was no Almond filling? It was very dry and not at all a traditional croissant. I order the 8 DOLLAR Avocado toast and what a bore. Seems like this place is hyped because of the upscale neighborhood but by golly, cute does not equal tasty drinks and good customer service. Never again.

The cafe is tiny, but has a very bright, and clean lined aesthetics. There is a main seating area with an oversized; coffee table surrounded by two large deep sofas and 4 arm chairs. There was also a bar area that sat about 3 that was perfect for working on your laptop! They have outdoor seating, but it was a cold day, so they didn't have that quite set up yet. The cafe was busy, so it took a while to get our order. I ordered a matcha lavender latte, and honey strawberry toast (strawberries, cream cheese, honey drizzle, but was missing the mint garnish). My friend ordered the avocado toast (avocado mash, cream cheese, everything seasoning, lemons, with the addition of hard boiled eggs and without the chili flakes). We decided to share the toasts since they were conveniently cut in half! Lots of parking here! Very convenient.

Ordered matcha from here and it tasted like sushi? So gross. What a waste of my money and tip. Plus the service wasn’t even good. Only 3 starts because it’s aesthetically pleasing inside.

Best part of this visit was the avocado toast. But it’s hard to imagine in 2023 that there are still establishments with non-functioning restrooms and no changing table for babies!

I’m going to give this review five stars, but do read on. This is a nice and clean simple café that offers coffees and tea and a few other unusual drinks. Their café menu is small… really mainly avocado, toast, and a few baked items. This is not a real lunch restaurant, but more of a light and healthy breakfast or lunch café. That said, the toast, and the quality of the food was exceptional. The overall quality of the experience was very good. If you know their menu, and like this type of healthy and fast, coffee and tea with healthy toast snacks, it’s actually very good at what they do. They are not fast at lunchtime, a few folks had to wait a bit, there is a area for sitting with friends or alone

Oh my they are kind. I could not pay with card and had cash only. They offered to give me my drink on them. I was impressed with their actual kindness. I ordered the oat milk lavender latte and it was delicious.

Great experience coming here. It’s truly an act of kindness. The coffee was really good, matcha was really good and the muffins as well. The girls working there were very nice and helpful. Even gave us a dozen muffins :)

Nice cafe that is very modern design. Drinks were great and staff was very friendly. Met the artists husband that created the butterfly wall. He was very proud and I have to agree it was very beautiful.

Amazing place! Initially I was very hesitant about whether or not it would be worth it to go, but I am SO glad I did. It was an amazing environment, everyone was super welcoming and outgoing, the coffee was beautifully made (as well as delicious) and the toasts were filling and flavorful! I honestly loved the fact that almost everything there was vegetarian but still so full of flavor. 10/10 the new go-to brunch spot!

Love the new staff at this location. I used to drive further to Oak Lawn location because my coffee was not well made and the staff was not nice, especially when ordering last minute around 6:50 p.m. Lovers location is great now! Anastasia is the sweetest, the friendliest and the most kind girl there. She definitely makes my day each time I go there.Thank you Anastasia for being so thoughtful and kind. We love coming here and seeing your lovely face.

Cute place. Service was good. Coffee was just OK, but my friend enjoyed their lavender latte, so that's good. They sell many positive affirmations tshirts, hats, etc. Fun for the experience, wouldn't go again.

I give this Lala and a 2 stars just because they have lavender latte. But this location isn’t really kind and it took them 20 minutes to make an avocado toast that ends up in trash. It’s Instagram coffee shop not a real coffee shop

The coffee is always delicious but this was my first time trying one of their toasts! The Queen Toast was magical and I can’t wait to try another of their vast selection of toasts.

La La Land is Instagram heaven, but their coffee needs work. Pros: - comfortable seating options indoors and out. - aesthetically stunning - quality ingredients - dietary accommodations - clean - easy parking Cons: - price - coffee taste feels like an afterthought - pastries are alright - walk in only If you’re coming here for coffee, go somewhere else. If you’re coming for the experience and aesthetic, go to town. The best looking drinks are: The lavender bloom latte, butterfly matcha latte, and cookies and dream latte. And yes, they really look like that. If you want a sweet hangout or just another excuse for a hot girl coffee walk, this is the new place. Staff is nice and fast, the coffee is just alright.

It's really slow! I waited for 30 minutes get two cups of coffee, and six people after me got their own coffee.Spending money and service attitude don't match.
