Breakfast was good but bacon was cooked almost raw..asked to cook a little more crisp and took a long time to return me but was way over cooked to extremely dry...
Cafe Brazil is a great restaurant overall and one of my breakfast favorites. I don't get to have breakfast at their downtown location too often but it definitely ranks as the best one in the chain. A couple family favorites, the Chorizo omelette and the fruit Crepes. Of course the self serve coffee bar is always a hit with 3-5 brewed flavors to accompany your breakfast.
The food was good. The outside seating was pleasant.
The signage at the parking lot is confusing and reads like Cafe Brazil customers have free parking. Parking is not free and they will boot your car within 5 minutes of parking. They have people camping out watching the parking lot to boot the car. Then it takes a long time to get someone to remove the boot from the car.
Thankfully this location is open late. I miss the Deep Ellum location as they have shortened the hours there. Always a friendly staff. Food is top notch at both locations.
Such a cool, funky place. I miss the Fort Worth location! Be careful when parking, there are strict rules and they'll boot your car.
Highly reccomend!! If you haven't tried this place before, please do. Fantastic staff working as a team and a beautiful open environment makes for a great dining experience. Make sure you check out the art on the wall, enjoy the coffee bar or grab some amazing coffee to take home. Went for brunch and had the banana bread french toast, very well made, not to sweet. The other photo is the huevos rancheros, which was definitely delicious. Trust me you won't regret coming to this gem!
Food is pretty good. The homeless people outside are not. Also the parking is.... difficult. I'm really just marking down deep ellum as a whole I suppose.
Sadly, the area has become such a slum with crime in poverty they decide that they need to charge you prior to serving your food. Even worse, you've already sat down and ordered before they tell you. Ridiculous. It's a restaurant for crying out loud. They should have some type of plan in place for people who are so obviously not going to stiff you on the bill. ..
The place is nice but the person at the till is not, he had a lousy attitude. We ordered a coffee from the shelves and it was really cold 🥲, this was disappointing, the rest of the meal was ok.
Safe space in deep ellum... nice staff... weirdos seem welcome. (It me)
Terrible service, terrible management, terrible patrons, threatened to be shot, threatened to be beaten, kicked out of the joint for using the restroom, told by management I was in the wrong for using the restroom while a dude was telling me I should be shot, management called me racial slurs, management told me I should unalive myself. Do not recommend
First impressions are important. We walked into dirty, filthy carpet. There was no one to welcome us. After a wait for a table we had another wait to get our menus. My husband actually had to get up and ask for menus for us. I got up to go to the restroom and they were absolutely atrocious. Water puddles, paper on the floor, clearly they had not been cleaned for a while. On a positive note my husband said the coffee was really good and the food was average. If service and cleanliness is not a priority, this is the place for you.
I've only been once and had the chicken and waffles. It was pretty dang good. The portions were enough to fill you up. If I remember, in addition to the chicken and waffles, you got an egg, bacon, and potatoes. The waffles were standard, as were the eggs, bacon and potatoes. The chicken however crushed it....not dry, the flavor was great...it was the MVP of the plate. Probably gonna go back.
The waitress was friendly and offered great recommendations. The food is delicious, with generous portion sizes. It came to our table hot. The bourbon pecan coffee is DELICIOUS!! It is also friendly on the wallet.
I am a cafe Brazil addict. The servers are super cool and the menu is HUGE. Everyone can find something good to eat here. Vegan, vegetarian, gluten free, meat lovers, you name it. And sooooo much good coffee. Love ‘em.
Delicious food! Sketchy area in Deep Ellum, but the food and coffee were worth the effort. The $10 for parking after 10 pm is too high in my opinion, but overall, I realize we were paying for security.
I never write bad reviews but d*****mn. I'm not writing this to get anybody fired but wow,the two servers are twacked out. Total 4 tables are occupied and there running around doing absolutely nothing. That was the first time I've got my food before my drink. And let me remind you hlaf there job is takin care of by the customer has to go to the registrar to order ,pay and get your refill. I don't do that twek but they definitely made me feel like I did by just watching them run around that restaurant doing absolutely nothing
Kevin and Tiffany were the best waiters tonight. They were super friendly and seemed as though they enjoyed their job. They kept us company our whole stay and our food was great! I don’t stay in deep Ellum but I’d for sure come back just because of how pleasant our experience was.
Their coffee really tastes great! They offer unlimited coffees of different kinds. The waiter is friendly and nice!
