This is mine and my besties go to when we have time to meet up!! We start with lunch and always get the Rembrandt that is always incredible with a lavender latte for me, and a mocha latte for her. After lunch we wander through the attached half price bookstore for usually 30 mins to an hour, buy a book and sometimes cards, or knickknacks before heading back to the Black Forest Coffee for dessert, another latte for me, and water for her. The desserts are absolutely amazing!! Always fresh, never tasting like the inside of a refrigerator!!! We had the white chocolate raspberry tart last time. Can't wait to go back!!!!

This is overall a really cozy spot! It’s attached right beside a book store which makes the vibes even better. The service is amazing! I would 10/10 recommend if you are looking to spend a cheaper amount on a coffee, this is your place!

Has a few coffee and brunch options. Gotta love a coffee shop in the bookstore I would love for this to catch on in most bookstores

Used to be a good place to grab coffee. NOT ANYMORE. Got a cappuccino today and it was the worst cappuccino ever. Such a small size of liquid in a big cap minus the foam it’s like you got a espresso shot. The taste was gross too. Haven’t tried their food but will never get their coffee again

Friend's and I ventured over last weekend after we had dinner, as it has been sometime since we have been to Black Forest Coffee. We❤️love the Florentine cookies. Unfortunately it was closed. Hours have changed and closing early. We will be back, but please consider extending your hours🙂

Espresso was okay. Milk technique was pretty poor. BUT amazing service. Katie was super awesome and helpful.

This used to be a fantastic place to go for coffee, but it has gone way downhill, and when I say way downhill I mean it fell off a cliff. Save your money and go somewhere else.

I've been coming here for years to study, relax, have a coffee, etc. It's a great place to spend a couple of hours. My only complaint would be the hours of operation- they close too early!

The best Iced Mocha ever!! So smooth every time, never bitter like I’ve experienced at a lot of other coffee shops. I love this place

Great coffee & muffins, but that’s it. I’ve never encountered such rude staff & I feel like it’s racially motivated against me. I’ve seen how they treat other customers compared to me & I’ve been the only black person in the Café each time I’ve visited. It’s such a shame because this place is actually good.

Coffee here is great. Made quick and tasty by baristas who clearly understand what they are doing. You can read a book as well from half price bins

I stopped by Half Price Books to sell some items and was delighted to find that Black Forest Cafe was next door/attached! I grabbed an oat milk latte while I waited on my book sales, and the latte was amazing! The staff was also SO friendly, which was an added bonus. I didn’t get any food, but the pastries in the display counter looked extremely tasty, and the couple who sat near me had a massive slice of cake that looked incredible.

I don't know what happened to this place, but it went downhill fast. I ordered a 20 oz. drink, but they gave me one in 16 oz. I raised this to them, but the worker there was being rude and said it was 20oz (which is a lie), another said they only have 2 cup sizes despite the board clearly stating otherwise. To top it off, some old woman (I assume is the manager there) measured the cup in front of me and proved that it was in fact 16 oz., but she clearly did not comprehend the situation. I'm questioning whether these other reviews are legit now, because the people currently working there don't have a clue on what they're doing. I'm not going back to this place, OR that HPB again (some of their book sections don't have a good variety anymore).
