Great, nice coffee and good food! I come here more for the coffee then food, but it's a really nice place and has a calm vibe. I'd recommend it!
Good place, but they took so long to serve the beverages that we almost had finished our breakfast
Service was absolutely miserable! I had some type self absorbed human being that couldn’t care less about serving, attempting to serve me. Never received my entire order. I have 2 stars because the breakfast sandwich I had was ok. Oh…the coffee was fantastic!! Coffee to go is what I recommend.

Got the cardamom latte and it was good! I went with a friend who got a meal and some coffee. The menu and selection is great. They have some more interesting coffee choices as well as the classics. The menu is fresh and there seems to be a selection for anyone! In terms of coffee shops, I think there is better coffee for better prices in the area, but this is definitely the only coffee shop in the area I have found that also provides a good selection of food (I don’t like to drink coffee on an empty stomach). Definitely will recommend for any coffee dates or anyone looking to grab a nice, quick breakfast and coffee with friends :)
Used to be a better place to eat. Now the portions have shrunk tremendously and the prices have increased. They also struggle to get orders. That’s horrible with the quantity of food you receive. You should be able to clearly see the order is wrong.
Stopped here on a Dallas family trip and loved it. Very cute breakfast spot, good coffee, and very yummy breakfast. Enjoyed their omelet and side of potatoes. Overall, I highly recommend 👌
Great food, coffee and service! The process of getting seated is a little confusing but that’s my only complaint :)
Great food and excellent service. The wait time was minutes and they kept checking our table often to make sure all was good.
Coffee drinks were good. Avocado toast thing was good. Fried chicken and waffles was very disappointing - dry chicken, weird bread-like waffle and syrup too thick to be real maple. Service is a bit slow, but that might be a southern thing. Overall, it was fine and a good option near the hotels for travelers.
This place was suggested to me by a friend so I drove 30 min from my hotel to try it out. My initial impression was that it’s a cute little place with a decent size menu. I started my order with a basic Chai latte with oat milk. However, when I received it the tasted was terrible..it almost tasted like raw chicken or something fowl… I’m not sure if it was the oat milk or if the cup was not washed properly…but either way I couldn’t drink it and sent it back. I ordered a pot of tea and was given a paper cup of tea instead… needless to say the waiter wasn’t very attention.. he brought the tea with no sugar or sweeteners so I had to get up and go inside the restaurant to get sugar for myself. When he finally came back I ordered the Ancient Grain Bowl which was nicely presented on the plate… but lacked flavor… I wanted salt and pepper but the waiter was not present to even notice that I needed anything else. In short it’s a cute vibe but not the best service or food based on what I ordered.
Great coffee and friendly service. I love the horchata too. Parking is tough to find, but worth the hassle.
Interesting food selections. Tried a few new things. The doki was very new for me. Carafe of mimosas was a good value.
Their breakfast and coffee are great but the service quality is almost below average.
Atmosphere is the only redeeming quality at this restaurant. I ordered the fried chicken sami and it was an unbreaded chicken thigh thrown into a fryer. It was very very dry even for a thigh. The bottom of my bun was stale and hard. The fries were cold on top and you could tell they were made in old oil that needed to be replaced. My latte was okay but nothing special it took quite awhile for us to receive them as well. While someone else at our table never received their coffee until he had finished his meal whole meal.
I've been here once before and the service was good! This time, service was still good, but our waiter, as he was explaining some items on the menu, he was using profanity (the S word)! I was like WHAT??? I thought that was so unprofessional and simply uncalled for! Because of their multiple competitors I can choose from, I won't be returning. It's really a sad thing, because I like that place... The vibe and the area! I really hope management sees my review & puts a stop to this! So, if you don't mind hearing profanity from the staff, feel free to patronize! Have a wonderful Friday you all🌹
Besides my delicious iced coffee (lavender latte!) my experience at Ascension was poor. I felt like more of an inconvenience than a patron because I had gotten confused on where to order and sit. The waiting staff was frustrated with me even though I explained it was my first time dining here and remained unhelpful. The avocado toast and poached eggs were alright but I would maybe try something else on the menu.
Did not feel welcomed at all! I feel as if we were racially profiled!! None of the staff would help us find a table even though there were clearly tables available, it was a very slow morning. Finally was sat down and after 20 minutes of not being brought a menu me and my wife left. We are a mixed couple (Mexican and Black) and felt this definitely had a massive role in how we were treated!
