Nice Cafe .. great coffee, simple menus with good quality food . The avocado toast was a little small :( but overall good value for money and I will easily recommend!
Could be so much better. Pancakes with strawberries and blueberries, 3/4 of one strawberry and 6 blueberries! Bacon and egg role with BBQ sauce looked liked they’d run out of sauce and scraped the lid of the bottle. Pancakes and bun were both slightly burnt. Flavors were nice. The waiter had the audacity to preselect 20% as a tip! When asked how was everything the waiter walked off as I started taking.
Inside the hotel, the space is relaxing and quiet. I ordered their new item on the menu. Asian noodle bowl, the kale and noodles omg was so delicious and rich. The chicken could have used more seasoning but overall was delicious. WiFi and validated parking for those who want to bring their laptops to work.
Amazing experience! Gotttaaaa get the aussie breakfast sandwich. Incredible food and coffee. Maddie was an outstanding server. Great environment. 10/10 definitely going back.
I love Ascension. My server Arthur was spectacular. He was patient and overwhelmingly accommodating. I changed my tea order twice due to sweetness and finally found one I liked. He never made me feel like an inconvenience even when I was just here to work. I can’t say enough.
I’ve been here three times already and I love the ambience of the restaurant and location in general. Even though it’s located Uptown, the area still doesn’t feel super busy. The restaurant is very cozy and there’s open seating. The servers are prompt upon you sitting and are very cognizant about the time of when to check in on your table. The food is really good, but leans more toward healthier/clean eating. The portion sizes are just enough to fill you up & I appreciated that. The prices are very reasonable for the location. The only downside is parking, which is valet in front of the shop or in a garage on the backside the shop. If you go on the weekend, there’s a flat parking fee of $10 in the garage. It’s also difficult to know how to get to the coffee shop from the garage if you’ve never been here before due to there being no visible signs to guide you. However, I was able to locate the elevators that take you to the coffee shop.
I frequent Ascension every time I come into town for business the food and coffe are fantastic. For the past couple months I’ve noticed a difference in service, my usual waiter, Eric, has always done a fantastic job at checking up on me but I’ve noticed not only him but other waiters check up on me or say hello as well. The service has changed and all around atmosphere has a better vibe, like a well oiled cog. I would recommend Ascension to all that live in or visit Dallas Picture because it’s delicious

amazing service from the curly haired server!!! she was so kind and helpful. Her suggestions were perfect! The horchata latte was my favorite. First time here but will be back soon :)
Sometimes a little loud during cold months, but otherwise damn near perfection. Best bacon at breakfast I have had... maybe anywhere besides my Grandma's table.
Well appointed breakfast (brekky) and coffee house with fresh roasts and unique menu items. Garage parking but they validate. Jordan was a great and friendly server. Really liked some of the unique menu offerings that you don’t typically find elsewhere. Generous coffee servings

Horrible food. The only good news is that the portion was so small that I didn’t feel so bad wasting it.
Charges extra for whipped cream that melts when i get there.
This has been one of my favorite coffee shops since I’ve moved to Dallas. I love the drip coffee and haven’t found anything on the menu I didn’t like. I recently had the wagyu hash ordered for me, which I normally wouldn’t pick on my own because I’m not a fan of sweet potatoes, but they complimented all the other flavors perfectly. Highly recommend for a breakfast date!
I go to Ascension very often because I live a 5 minute walk away. For the first time I tried the chicken sandwich. The texture of the chicken was very very off. A common way to add juiciness and flavor to chicken is to brine it. This is a great technique until it’s not. Too much brining results in a very strange texture, imagine a juicy plump piece of rubber. That’s what happened to this chicken. Please taste test your brining procedure for your chicken, it’s an issue. If you address the issue, happy to change this review to a 5 star.

Seems like a good concept but when we walked in we were asked to have a seat for dine in, was told someone would be right with us. 35 minutes later someone comes over, we'd been trying to get someone's attention to no avail and when we asked to order at the counter were told to sit down and someone would be right with us, and asks if we'd been helped yet. We order, someone immediately brings out a sandwich and puts it in front of us without saying anything, turns out it is someone else's order. Someone else comes over, removes it, and apologies to the person it was suppose to go to, just dropping it off at the right table. Food was tough, chicken sandwich was microwaved, bread was okay though. Really like the fries. We both also liked our coffee. The reason we stayed was the fact is was literally pouring outside and had walked there in the first place.
Our food was Very Good & the service provided by Drew was EXCELLENT! We’d love to come back & would hope to get Drew as our waiter again. He seemed to know his menu & gave great food & drink recommendations.
First time coming to Ascension with my best friend and we had a great time. I don't drink coffee much but my server recommended a white chocolate mocha and it was fantastic! Food was delicious as well, took a bit to come out once we ordered but I think it was worth the wait. Definitely would recommend this place to anyone because the atmosphere was great and our server Nancy was attentive, making sure we had everything we needed despite how busy the restaurant was. Will be coming back for brunch this weekend !
