Extremely rude and dismissive tone from the worker. Didn’t get to order. Asked about the vegetarian/vegan options for a friend and was taken aback by her response. Then when trying to ask a question about a non-vegan dish she cuts me off and sternly responds “NO VEGAN OPTIONS”. I ended up not ordering. She seemed very busy, stressed and annoyed.

Hands down best you can get in the US. The braised belly and popcorn chicken are authentic and absolutely delicious. Can’t get this quality any where else in Texas or CA that I have personally found. Order ahead. Wait can be long at times! Should be Michelin rated

Wow! Exceptional Taiwanese food. Such a hidden gem in this cute truck food circle. The fried chicken is incredible - crispy and well seasoned on the breading, and juicy inside. The 卤肉饭, pork over rice, a traditional Taiwanese dish, is incredible too! The portion is pretty large and can well last for a full day. The owner was super nice! Totally recommended!

An incredible food truck! The food here is fresh, homemade, and of an extremely high quality! The Taiwanese chicken bento was out of this world, crispy and not greasy at all! The homemade veggie sides equally delicious. The portions and price are phenomenal! Cannot recommend Sonf La enough, each bite is a little dance for your tastebuds. The owner is so nice and friendly too! Amazing job :)

Some of the most authentic Taiwanese Bento boxes you'll find in Austin (coming from a Taiwanese guy). Popcorn chicken is cooked to perfection, light & crispy on the outside and juicy within. The braised pork is amazing as well, and don't sleep on the winter melon/lychee drinks!

The absolute tastiest food truck in Austin. Song La is a woman run food truck in Thicket Food Park and the flavors of the Veggie Bento Box are incredible! It’s what I get every time. Tofu with cabbage, rice, kimchi, and delicious sauces—this is the hidden gem. You don’t be disappointed!

Super good food, can't wait to come back! Had chicken bite and pork chop bentos and the tofu chi. Besides delicious taiwanese spice blends I've been missing for years, the portions were generous and there were great amounts of veggie sides too. Thicket food Park is cute and kid friendly, lots of options if someone in your group feels like something else.

Food was amazing, we got the chicken bites and the sauce it came with was out of this world. Definitely worth the small wait time. Chicken was fried perfectly and it was all made fresh. 10/10 will be back. Straight bussin’ bussin’ no cap fam.

I got the chicken bites, and it was really good. There’s basil in it and come with the sauce. The sauce compliments it well. The chicken flavor was nice, and it was slightly crispy and tender. Definitely recommended to try it. It cost around $11-12 after tax. It does take a lil bit of time to cook so be patient.

Song La just closed after 2022/12/09. They replied: “don’t know when/if we will be able to reopen, as we’re trying to figure out a way to stay in Austin.” Missed memorial Taiwan Food site.
