Very cute coffee shop but today was the second time that the staff forgot about my order. The young lady at the register didn’t say hi or greet me and she looked very disinterested in being there. She took my order and I paid and tipped. I stepped aside to wait for my order but I was never called. I kept waiting. The young girl at the register saw me waiting but walked right past me, got on her bicycle and rode off. I eventually had to approach someone else to ask about my order. I was eventually handed a drink and food, but it was not what I had ordered🤦🏻‍♀️. I gave up and just left. I’m very patient and understanding but it is not a good feeling to be ignored and forgotten twice now.

The server was unhappy for some reason and didn’t tell us the extra one dollar for to-go orders.

Desert Vibes on east 12th. Super cute spot, plenty of seating inside and out. Coffee is good and so are pastries and tacos. Lots of parking too.

Palomino coffee is trying to set itself apart in a city with so many amazing coffee spots! Here is an honest rating about its various aspects - Taste of latte - 5 stars, they brew Flatrack and it’s hands down amazing, ambience and space - 5 stars, love the decor, plants and the whole Santa Fe vibe with the record players and coffee bean sacks and the roasting machinery, cost - 4 stars and staff - about a 3.5 - not very welcoming, maybe they were having a bad day, a little grumpy. More in-depth, I love that they serve Flatrack beans which are generally a little on the expensive side - about $22-24. I’m a fan of Barrett’s coffee and I don’t think anyone can beat them when it comes to beans and value for money. The latte was amazing and very well done, absolutely no complains there but a $.50 each for takeout paper cups? That’s didn’t jive with me especially when we weren’t even told about it during checkout - odd. The ambience is calm and quiet with plenty of indoor and outdoor seating as well as good music playing - loved the record player. They do sell soaps and other items as well along with drinks, beans and pastries. It is worth visiting if you love exploring new coffee spots in and around Austin but not sure I will come back here regularly.

My experience at Palomino was overall very positive this was my second time visiting Palomino and I tried the Miso Caramel latte. Was very hesitant about trying but the barista insisted that is was good. Hesitant to try the latte, I persisted to order it. I was not disappointed! The latte was amazing and I very much appreciated the amazing latte art. I loved the taste of the coffee and frothy milk on top. Would definitely recommend Palominos coffee and lattes. The only thing was that it was a bit pricey at $7 before tips for the latte and was smaller than other coffee shops. Would recommend besides this.

How aesthetic is this coffee shop? Had a short two day stay in Austin and I couldn’t miss out on the opportunity to have my breakfast here. The Minimalistic Adobe Southwestern vibe makes this coffee shop truly one of a kind. Opted to try out the Cardomom Mocha and Chocolate Croissant and I was left more than satisfied. Palomino Coffee is the place to be at least once during any visit to the Austin area.

I was excited to visit one of the most Instagramed coffee shops, but social media pictures makes the area bigger/more interesting than it actually is. The service was subpar at best. The barista/cashier was VERY RUDE when asked simple question like "what syrups do you have" and made a snarky comment about taking us taking a picture of the restaurant. Not a great experience

We had a blueberry cappuccino, single origin espresso, and a cortado. The espresso for all the drinks was almost perfect. Compared to most shops we go to, this one executed with consistency and the staff was kind.
