They advertise themselves for their “value” but they missed the quality part… I think this place has fake reviews; no way it should be 4 stars. Ordered two drinks to-go. The espresso was not brewed right for both of them and they didn’t even bother to put on the cup lids for me so I had to do it myself.

I don’t understand the hype at all. Walked in Saturday morning, and they’re understandably busy, but I had to wait about 20 minutes in line. Bagel arrived untoasted when I asked for it to be toasted, and then they forgot my drink so I was waiting even longer. I also wasn’t wildly impressed with the matcha latte and bagel was meh. Inside is cute though and to be fair, I haven’t tried the coffee.

We Stan Merit. Great coffee flavor profiles, local Texas business. The pop tarts & yuzu espresso fizz are to die for!

Excellent Mocha! Great Staff and Patrons! I was visiting from San Antonio, and curious to see how Merit does things in Austin... The coffee is still carefully made; and even though there was a line, most people were chatting, dogs were sitting peacefully, and the Gluten-Free Pastry options were plentiful. Had a great coffee break here. Will visit again.

some of the best espresso/chai/matcha in austin tbh. this is a small + popular location so don't expect to bring a group to sit down, but it's located by a plaza so you can always hang there.

Good coffee, kind staff, and the ambiance is worth the drive. Pour overs are only 4$ (but sadly not on V60 or chemex). My dog loves sitting outside in their ample patio. Which is why I hate that I'm told they have a policy against giving out glass for water. Seems obscenely stupid to walk away from the counter with a glass and a plastic cup of still/sparkling water with my espresso. Like you can trust me with two but not three? Minor policy change to be environmentally responsible and I'd love to change my review.

I’m visiting from out of town arrived here at 3:00 pm on a Tuesday. When seeking a place to work remotely, I look for good Wi-Fi, natural light, semi-quiet (music won’t interfere with calls, plenty of places to sit and plug-in, good coffee/tea. Keeping in mind my late arrival, I found it all here. Don’t think they have a dedicated parking lot. I parked on the metered street a block away, couple hours costed about $4 (normal for downtown, right?) which is the only reason I deducted a star. Nice place, I’d come back.

Tried the Espinoza pour over and it was amazing. Very bold flavor and the aroma was heavenly! I’m going back to buy their beans

Excellent coffee. A cool coffee haven after a hot walk along the riverside. Or a shopping trip to the nearby supermarket (TJ). Their coffee has a great complex flavour. Best appreciated as an espresso, Their Flat White is good too. A dog friendly cafe. :) Nice to sit in the shade on the bench outside and watch the world go by.

Austin officially has a great coffee shop. Don’t get me wrong, I love all all old ones and the new ones, but the coffee here is the best. I usually ask for the espresso stats and these guys had unusual numbers. To my surprise, they poured an amazing shot. Place - plenty of room, modern and not too loud. Price - reasonable Staff - friendly and knowledgeable

Flew in to Austin for the day and needed some coffee before walking around town! Great coffee and they were kind enough to fill our bottles with water before we left. 🤙🏼

Popped in for a quick espresso. The espresso was smooth and not to overly bitter. The staff were friendly, quiet atmosphere for downtown.

I have to say I was not a fan of the taste of the coffee but that might be a matter of personal preference. I drink Cuban Coffee regularly and my cortado did not hit the mark. What was DELICIOUS though, was the strawberry pop tart and strawberry matcha (not pictured). Great service, friendly staff. Dog friendly !

Excellent cappuccino! The breakfast taco I got looked underwhelming but tasted delicious. Lovely indoor and outdoor seating. Great spot for some laptop work.
