Austin is highly competitive for good coffee and Afuga has done a good job setting up a nice, friendly and awesome place to chill here on the East Side. The down side, is that I enjoy 2 cups in the morning and well they offer no drip coffee so having two Americanos double my cost from other local shops. They don't even offer a 2nd cup discount.

Terrific coffee, friendly family owned cafe with delicious coffee and out of this world pastries! Easy walking distance to Ladybird Lake, too.

They are quick, and the beans are good! I love that the hot espresso drinks are not scalding hot so you can drink them right away, and their beans aren’t overly acidic. Their Sour Duck pastry selection is broad, and the beer and wine selection is also good for afternoon/evening. A welcome addition to the neighborhood.

I’m on a mission to find the best coffee in Austin and this is my new top place. My gluten free chocolate torte was delicious and the iced espresso was absolutely perfect. They had standard, vegan, and gf pastries and snacks and more traditional coffee shop offerings for drinks than places like Starbucks (which is a good thing for me) but it looks like they can also do super-sweet-can’t-taste-the-coffee drinks too if that’s what you like. I personally thought the espresso was so expertly pulled that it was actually a little sweet on its own 🥰

Incredible coffee. Their espresso is up there with the best in Austin. My cortado was flawless. I'm very excited for this place, they've got a great location, great coffee and a really nice interior. Their little cakes are delicious too. When I went they had three flavours: cardamom, lavender honey, and apple.

They were at Life Surge Austin and we tried a plain, black Americano, and added two stevia packets. We don't do dairy or sugar so we weren't expecting much. Their coffee tastes AMAZING, even with nothing added! It is so hard to find coffee that actually tastes good which is why we always purchase ours online. We will definitely be ordering from this shop as well!

The best coffee shop in Austin, by a wide margin. Great coffee, amazing atmosphere, friendly people, and they even have wine and beer!

Expensive coffee and can be better ! Was surprised that the bartender added the tip by himself while checking out and did not provide a option for it ! $3 tip for a $5 coffee is too expensive than I thought

This is good coffee. I mean it was expertly done. Exactly the way it should be. Smooth and rich. No bitter burnt flavor here at all. They did make a mistake but it was a delicious mistake. And next time I go I’ll order the accident! The vibe is so relaxed. Which by appearance you wouldn’t know. But it’s just the character of the place. It’s a good twenty minute drive but totally worth passing every other coffee shop on the way to get to this hidden treat!

My favorite coffee place in Austin! Hitting the trifecta with a great cup of coffee, beautiful place to drink it and lovely owners and staff to make the experience that much better!

Perfect place for a grab-and-go or sitting. They got lovely outdoor seating as well as an beautiful indoor space. And of course the most delicious coffee! I also tried a few pastries and their vegan sandwich and all were great.

Cold brew was bitter and acidic. Threw it out. Waste of money. Their tea selection was a joke.
