My friend & I met here for our 1st time for weekday lunch. There weren’t many customers. The atmosphere was country cute, including framed still frames from Lonesome Dove. We wanted to try a few of the appetizers but unfortunately they don’t have a sampler. We asked our waitress if we could do a sampler of sorts & she said they don’t have that, but they can do a 1/2 & 1/2. This is not offered on the menu & she didn’t know the cost, but guessed it was around $9.99 like the other appetizers. It was actually $12.99. So we got to try the fried tomatoes, mushrooms, pickles. & zucchini. All fabulous!!!! (We had a bunch of leftovers to take home) The pulled pork sandwich was yummy nummy. They have homemade gravy & ranch dressing that was excellent. Not a very healthy lunch, but everything was definitely yummy & piping hot. Our waitress was a nice young lady too. The only negative was the up charge on the appetizers without notice & the additional charge for choosing from the optional sides she listed. These things shouldn’t be a surprise, they should be included at the time of selection. Unfortunately, this type of gouging practice does detract from what could have been a stellar experience. I still highly recommend!!

Great atmosphere and service. Food was just okay. For the fixings -the cabbage was bland, mac and cheese not cheesy, sweet corn not so sweet, but the Cole slaw was great. The ranch is made in house and good.

The Sunday buffet is the stuff of local legend. Salad, fried chicken, chicken fried steak, fried corn meal coated catfish, county style vegetables, and slivers of pie are all available in small portions for those, like myself, who like to attempt sampling everything on the buffet. The quality and quantity of the fare make it difficult to stay on one's diet. Friendly and attentive wait staff. The atmosphere emphasizes rural Texas. Head-in only parking can make finding a parking spot challenging during peak dining hours.

Food has gone down hill over the years. Catfish is still good but items are clearly microwaved beyond that. It has the feeling if a small town eatery but big town prices. The food is not worth the cost. Our family of 4 just spent $130 for microwaved food. Our server was very nice and attentive.

Friendly service. We had party of 9 and they were ready for us. Favorites were chicken fried steak and meatloaf. Sides or fixings are the best.

Great place for food in the heart of Anna, and the prices are great. Always fabulous service and the food is hot and fresh, large servings, and $4 beers!

BUT THEIR DESERTS WERE AWFUL. THEY NEED SOMEONE WHO KNOWS HOW TO BAKE. AND FOR AS MUCH AS THEIR BUFFET COST, THEY CAN AFFORD TO HIRE SOMEONE...

Great customer service and great food 👍👌 This visit wasn't as good as the last one. I had the catfish platter, the special for the day. It came with four pieces of shrimp, which is the main reason I ordered it. When I got my meal the shrimp looked a little bit crunchy and unfortunately it was, a little too crunchy. The breading on it was so thick and crunchy that I couldn't taste the actual shrimp. Service was good but not great. They were pretty busy, we had to wait for a table and we've never had to do that here. So, while I can understand trying to hurry, but our waiter barely had time for anyone to ask him a question . I was asking a question about the platter before I ordered it and he automatically started writing it down as my order. I was trying to find out if a salad came with my meal. I had to ask him to hold on a minute and him for the second time that I was just asking a question. He was very kind, polite and professional other than that. I think that my overcooked shrimp may have been because of the number of customers. It was completely full and things happen unfortunately. I still recommend it as one of the best restaurants in town.

We went in towards the end of the night and we're still treated amazingly. Our waitress who unfortunately I was to tired to catch her name was on point. She made sure we had everything we needed, quickly and with a smile when though she was tired as well. Our food was, hot, fresh and tasted wonderful. Thank y'all for the wonderful experience, we will definitely be back again. Oh and the fried green tomatoes absolutely try those!

We ordered country fried steak but it was more like a Salisbury steak. Chicken strips were very small, little meat.

I ordered to go for me and my entire family on 12/07/22. Upon picking up my order, the young lady at the front was very rude. Firstly, she failed to greet me with a smile or even speak. After paying for my food, I checked my order which was incorrect. I told her the parts that were incorrect and she took it and sat it by the register and just stood there conversing with other staff as I'm waiting for her to go to the back to get me the corrected order. I asked her was she planning to get my order corrected and she walked away and yelled to who I assume to be her boss (a guy) to come handle me (literally her words). She had the absolute worst attitude and terrible communication skills. Also, she tried to charge me for something that came with my orders. So not only does she treat people like animals, she was going to steal my money. They were already overcharging for such small portions and she was going to steal extra. They will not be getting my business anymore and you all should error on the side of caution as well because the food wasn't good either. If I could give a negative star rating I would. Poor service in addition to nasty food is not what I want to spend my money on.
