It was great I loved the atmosphere, I went here all the time to show new friends the cafe. But they permanently closed this past Thursday, it was really sad

Great place, great staff. Food was incredibly overpriced and small. Sounds par for the course for these types of places, but stick to the coffee if you're coming here. Everything else is a bit much

I got the 16 oz London Fog Latte with soy milk and extra caramel, veggie quiche, broccoli salad, and two chocolate chip cookies. The latte wasn’t too small like I thought it’d be, it tasted really good had a very mild flavor, but I couldn’t taste any caramel. The cookies tasted a lil stale but they were really soft and pillowy and only 50 cents so I wasn't mad at them. I had high hopes for the quiche based on the reviews but the egg was lacking seasoning, I didn’t see the salt n pepper packets in my utensils till i was already done eating. I also wished the vegetables were cooked into the egg instead of just on top of it. The cheesy hash brown bottom layer kinda saved it though, and the slice was filling. My favorite item was definitely the broccoli salad. The broccoli was crisp, the dressing was yummy, and I loved the bacon bits. It was literally perfect, wouldn’t change anything abt it. The amount they give you is good too, I’ll be ordering it again for sure. My total was $16.68, I placed a pickup order over the phone and it was ready when I got there 13 min later. Everyone there was very kind, especially the person on the phone. EDITED: i think the first time i came here i just got really lucky bc i found out today that they dont actually fill the bowl of broccoli salad all the way to the top (check the pics) normally. It sucks bc i love it so much but the normal portion is just so small for the price :(( However, I was extremely grateful to the staff who corrected this for me, I felt like such a nuisance because i know this is something very minor but they were very understanding. EDITED AGAIN LOL: I just came here again today after a few months and both the potato casserole and the broccoli salad were back to being very generously portioned again, basically filled to the top!! I’m so so so happy, my meal was delicious, filling, and worth the money. Thank you sm carpe cafe! I highly recommend trying their craft sodas, the grape soda is made with real carbonate

Friendly, helpful employees welcome you to this one-of-a-kind little coffee shop and cafe that also serves as the heart of Smyrna's arts community. I loved learning that the building used to be a dry cleaners decades ago. That accounts for the fact that the order counter is not the first thing you see. Walk in through the seating area until you see the chalkboard-on-a-wall with menu suggestions

Charming place in the older train depot area of Smyrna. Limited menu, but what they do have has always been good. I've enjoyed sitting on the porch watching the clouds, people, cars, trains, planes, and whatever else happens to go past. Why not sit a spell and have some tea? It's just like that.

My husband and I both love it. Relaxed. Calming. Great food. It is like being invited to a friends house, and that friend is a great cook.

I cannot believe that I have never posted a review of this wonderful place before. I found this place many years ago, and I'm so happy it has survived. They have the quirky atmosphere that I absolutely love in coffee shops. Not everyone wants sterile, boring, personalityless spaces! This is a cute little shop with plenty of choices. If you don't see the coffee or latte you want on the menu, just ask! I got a honey lavender latte with oat milk today, and that is not on the menu. The staff is warm and friendly, the space is fantastic, and the options are great. They do also have gluten-free options and non-dairy options. This is a gem, and I hope it stays around forever!

Great location for local meetings and hanging out with friends. Definitely my go-to location in the Smyrna Depot District. The store has a wonderful ambiance and warm welcoming feeling. Coffee is decently priced and they offer a complete selection of lattes and flavored coffees. Creamers are half and half or whole milk (others might be available upon request?). They also offer some great homemade cinnamon rolls and other pastry items.

Cozy, friendly, imperfect. This is what a locally owned business should be like. I'm not going to critique whether the coffee had the right amount of foam. Everything I have had here -- the quiche, coffee, desserts -- have all been wonderful. Not perfect, but add in the warm atmosphere, and the sounds of the frequent trains going by, and I can't think of a better place to sit and talk with a friend and feel that I am a little better off than if I was sitting in that perfectly replicated chain shop.

We ordered delivery from here a couple of times and like the food. We stopped in today to check them out and were very pleased by the artistic decor and friendly staff. They have lots of veggie options and offered alternative dairy options for their coffees. While we knew the food would taste good it was much better fresh from the kitchen and presented nicely. This might have to become a regular spot for us!

Quaint little place for coffee, tea, food and music. Service seems to have slowed since my last review. 15 minutes to order and receive iced coffee.

This is my favorite spot to knit and take in the atmosphere. I love the veggie quiche and the McCartney wrap. I'm here every week. It's the best place to hang out.

Cute little coffee shop with some yummy food. Very nice people there too. Cute little shaded patio too for those of us that like being outside. The only issue I had was finding parking. If there is any for this Cafe I didn’t see it. I ended up parking behind the place after circling the roundabout looking. Very short walk to the door but it would nice to have a sign telling you where to park.
