Fifteen years ago we ate here and weren't impressed. In fact, we almost didn't eat here today because of that experience. However, we met a local woman walking, and asked how it was. She told us "new cook, management, much improved!" What a nice surprise! I had a beautiful, juicy local tomato stuffed with tuna salad, Southern-style green beans, fresh from the garden, and a piece of chocolate pie. I'm very particular about my pie, and this has a wonderful crust. Friendly yet efficient wait-staff. Add this restaurant to the charm of Rugby, and you have a lovely outing.

Harrow Road Cafe was wonderful! The restaurant was very clean, the bathroom was clean and well stocked, and someone came and seated us immediately. I had the butterfly shrimp dinner with a side salad, fried green tomatoes, and rolls. It was all so delicious. I saw the taco salad, one of their specials today. It looked so fresh and was a very good sized portion. Ella, the proprietor, confirmed what I had heard. She had sold over 70 pies last week! They looked so good. There was a large variety to choose from, anything from butterscotch to chocolate silk 😋 I am definitely going back soon.

We went for lunch as we were leaving the area after an Anniversary trip. Very friendly service, and we both enjoyed our food, chicken & mushroom pie, and fish and chips. It was really good, left full, and happy.

Hamburgers are outstanding..Best ever!! Service is excellent! Such nice people! Note: At the resturant.. The Coleslaw is just awful. Worst I have ever eaten. Even the Miracle Whip with pumkin seeds and pinapple bits coleslaw of horror was better than this bitter taragon monstrosity. Avoid it at all costs! Town is darling and worth the side trip.

It was decent. I do not recommend the clowslaw but fish and chips were fine. Its expensive for what it is but thats because they are the only cafe around

A little bit expensive for what you get, but it's the only game in town. Food ok.

Terrible place to eat. Harrow Road Cafe have been reported several times for food poisoning. High prices and terrible service. Several people reported having to go to hospital after eating there. Food is low quality Walmart supplied garbage. But the prices are elevated to make people think the food has a better quality.

Food poisoning confirmed by ER. Greeted quickly. Ordered from the English fair. One cottage pie and one chicken and mushroom pie. Very small portions for $12 each. Instant potatoes on top. We didn't eat before going. Food was bland. On the drive home my spouse that ate the cottage pie started to get sick and got worse and worse. Ended up in ER, confirmed it was food poisoning. We would not recommend at all. Beware!
