My husband and I were staying in an airBnB within walking distance of this coffee shop, so we decided to give it a try because it was recommended by the host. We glanced over the menu and thought it looked like a good little coffee and brunch spot. We went at 10:30am on a Sunday. Unfortunately, there were no brunch items at all (like the biscuits on the menu or pictured in the reviews and on social media). They were only serving pastries which were nearly gone by the time we arrived. We actually thought we may have gone to the wrong place. We ordered a quiche and cheese danish and two lattes which were all pretty good, but customer service was a bit slow and honestly unfriendly to say the least. I asked for a napkin which are kept behind the counter and was given a look of pure annoyance. There were only two employees working, so I am sure they felt stressed given the number of people in line, but that’s no reason to act this way toward customers. I am not one to take the time to leave a negative review but we were so stunned by this experience, I feel I must. I am unsure how this place has this high of a rating if this is how daily operations are run. I am giving 2 stars instead of one because as mentioned, the coffee and pastries were good.

Visiting from Virginia Beach and I needed a quick coffee and breakfast, their biscuit literally melts in your mouth - it’s SO good. The woman who took my order was very sweet and listened to how picky I might be about my iced coffee. It’s delicious! Thank you :)

Good coffee and breakfast sandwich. Would only take away, missing a bit of atmosphere.

Great pastries and coffe, came here for breakfast after eating at the adjacent restaurant and loving the focaccia and deserts. Beautiful setting, simple and effective. My only complaint would be for the lack of plates, silverware and cups. Even though we ate there, all the food and drinks were served in paper containers and plastic cutlery, very impractical, un ecological and frankly disappointing. Get some real plates and cups! Coffe is 200% better when brewed in ceramic or glass, paper is for Starbucks.

First visit was to pick up this delicious King Cake! I am far from an authority on King Cakes, but I know what I like and I know when it's good. This, friends, is both. I ordered the cream cheese version and it does not disappoint! The aroma upon opening the box was a good indication that I was about to be in Heaven, and I was. Obviously fresh, fluffy, not too dense, moist (the only allowable use for this word, BTW), the right amount of sweet... Just really, really solid. Get you one! Laissez les bons temps rouler! 💜💚💛 #FoodiesOfNashville

Just moved to the area and this has to be my new favorite spot. The latte I got wasn’t overly sweet, just perfect. Cream cheese sugar cookie? To die for. And the egg and cheese biscuits are incredible. Also just a really cute local place, that doesn’t feel too rushed and is overall a relaxing experience.

This is my absolute favorite place to go. The last thing I think about when I go to bed and the first thing I think about when I wake up 😂 the staff is so friendly, the lattes are AMAZING. The pastry’s are AMAZING. It makes my day every day going there. + I would be devastated if they closed. 12/10 would recommend.

Let me just say...OMG!!! That Broccoli, ham and Parmesan frittata was so good that I want to slap everyone's mama. Perfect (Chef's kiss). The New York coffee cake wasn't bad, either. Why has it taken me so long to eat here? I pass here several times a week. Well...I will most assuredly be back.

Quaint local coffee shop & bakery offering excellent quality coffee, homemade pastries, and friendly service! > The cream cheese cookie is a must try, bold flavor but not overpowering. It was amazing. > Lemon Poppy Seed muffin was also wonderful, natural lemon flavor was pleasant. > My iced latte had the perfect milk to espresso ratio.

Overpriced and mediocre. They really live up to the name. Literally waited a half our for a Cafe au lait.

I leave this review in the sincere hope that it will help Slow Hand improve - I hope the owners see this. The pastries and coffee here are amazing. Just delicious. One of my top two in Nashville. I have two gripes though and they are enough that I rarely ever go. 1) They sell out of everything good by like 9:15am. I'm totally on board with not making too much food and just throwing things out at the end of the day. But you sell out before I feel like being out of bed on a sunday. Just make more... and sell out at 11... Why do I need to compete with the whole neighborhood to buy one of the 6 danishes you have that morning. 2) I guess it's in the name but boy are the hands SLOW. There's like 3 tables so it's not a hanging out spot where it would be fine if things were slower. You just stand in line in super intense AC and it takes 15 minutes to get a muffin if there are 4 people ahead of you and there's so few of each item that by the time you get served, the thing you wanted is sold out Hire another person and make double of each of your popular items and this would be an immediate 5 stars.
