They were out of most of the items they are known for: Biscuits, hamburgers and bananas. Service gets a 1 star because it's a 'serve and bus yourself' type of place. While the staff was friendly to customers they were holding business conversations out in the open so all their customers could hear, and they were conversations that shouldn't be discussed in front of customers. Today. Today was the day I was there, and every time I placed an order, I was told you were out of something needed for that item. Also, when a customer is standing at your counter, the employees/owners shouldn't be speaking negatively about other customers currently in their establishment. Nothing in my review was negative towards you as a person it was the facts of my visit. I wasn't the one speaking negatively.... employees were about a paying customer. I understand the current hiring issues and I didn't have a problem with your current set up. I merely stated that there wasn't any service because it was self serve. Learn from constructive criticism; it may make life less stressful.

Order an iced mocha and a iced Irish Cream both were outstanding! Friendly & efficient customer service. Quick and easy in-and-out. Will come back! ❤️

The food was good, but their service is what would bring us back. One of our party ended up with the wrong dish and they went above and beyond, more than necessary, to make it right.

Good food and very nice staff. Has a comforting atmosphere, like you're visiting a friends house and their mom is cooking you food.

The omelette is huge and tasty. I loved the huge piece of sourdough toast that came with. A little on the pricey side at $15 bucks but definitely not outrageous. A nice little splurge on oneself, if you will. The lady at the cash register is very nice and quite an individual. I'd recommend it.

I had the French toast special and my buddy had the breakfast plate. The food is good there but the staff was fun. Just so you know you order at the counter, you go back to the counter to get your order, and bus your table when you're finished.

Favorite breakfast spot. I recommend the cinnamon rolls, muffins, and breakfast sandwich, soups and salads, and biscuits. Great place to bring kids because they have a toy corner. Such a cozy and friendly place. It feels like you're eating at a relatives house.

Loved the southern style biscuits and the cozy environment. It is outside of the downtown craze.

We came for brunch and the food was so good. Homemade and delicious! We had the biscuits and gravy, club sandwich and meltdown sandwich. Everything was fresh and delicious. If you haven’t tried this place, please do your taste buds a favor and make it to Sidekicks

Cute little place, but I drove right by it the first time because it was just in the middle of a neighborhood and the directions didn’t tell me that I had arrived until I came to a place that had no turn in. Just a little confusing but I got there the second time around the block. This was just a coffee date with a good friend so I grabbed a coffee and my friend had a green tea. We found a nice little table and we’re able to have a great time together. May likely come back when I’m in that area again, however that’s not very often.

Repeat customer for a reason. Layout is a bit trying but also gives it a charm

No waitress. You order, pick up, pay, and bus your table. Biscuits we're very good. Think they use egg beaters for omelets and sandwiches. Omelet was huge.

I pass through Nashville often for business. I stop at Sidekicks regularly for a great cup of coffee, a good meal, friendly service and to sit by a window enjoying the ambience catching up on work cause internet is there. Great neighborhood hang. Great porch too. Thank You Sidekicks
