This place has some delicious southern food. Their buffet dishes are all really good, but my favorite are the fried catfish, the fried chicken, the greens, and sweet potatoes. If you are in Jackson, you really should stop.

I had never been to a buffet like this! (good ol' South food) It was busy but the staff did the best they could. Absolutely delicious! (My review from 10 months ago showed up as WAMP, the radio broadcaster nearby)

Was very disappointed. Most food was slightly warm, some hot dishes cold. Fried foods were extremely greasy. Wait person never showed to clean off plates or refill drinks until we were leaving. Wont return.

Food was great, home cooking. Ribs, fried catfish, smoothed chicken, Fri chicken and the sides sweet potatoes, mashed potatoes, corn, fries, hot water corn bread. Was so full didn't make it to the cobblers and pudding.

Foods are old sometimes and Dixie Cafe staff look dirty. They flirt with most of the men and think they should be tipped for their mediocre service. If Old Man Shaw lived it wouldn't be running the way it is being run. Food just isn't the same anymore. Don't get me wrong, some of the employees are nice.

The Buffet is amazing! The person who greeted us was very friendly and encouraged me to enroll in your points program. I am very thankful that he did. I plan to be back again and again.

The food is delicious & the service is usually really nice but it is an extremely old bldg. I think they want to keep the ole timey ruggedly look, but the bathrooms are horrible, nasty, out dated & my last couple visits it was leaking rain inside & they had buckets out... It is a tourist area for out of towners so I know the funds are there to upgrade ; but greed won't let them shut down to do so...

Down home cooking in a buffet! This is probably the best "home cooked meal" from a buffet I've ever had! Everything was piping hot and was extremely fresh! Service was phenomenal. Even the desserts tasted like grandma's! I highly suggest stopping in. You'll leave full and satisfied!

Plenty of parking and it’s free . Yes it’s handicap accessible . Very kid friendly . Great for small or large parties . Open daily .

Enjoyed our breakfast! Back with family after the secure has been updated. Did and service still great, I miss the ice cream machine... We were there when 3 tour buses arrived, so they seemed to have some trouble keeping up. The bathrooms were a bit of a mess as well.

A worker at the Casey Jones Museum recommended this place. I’m thinking they pay her to do so. This was the dirtiest restaurant I’ve seen. I had to go through several pieces of silverware to find a clean fork and spoon. We ate there on a Saturday around 4:30 pm. Had to wait on food to be brought out. I asked 3 times-3 different ppl before they brought out tartar sauce for the fish I waited on. They had 3 different desserts that were empty when we got there and finally asked the waitress if she thought they would ever bring any out 45 mins later. I did watch a worker fix his plate. It looks like he could have mentioned that everything was low on the Buffet. If we hadn’t paid prior to being seated we would have differently left. I’m surprised the health dept hasn’t shut this place down. 1st and last experience at the establishment!

This Old Country buffet is really great adventure. The food is simple and yet very delicious. The cornbread is made freshly in front of us!

Dined at the Old Country Store today for my Pre Mother's Day dinner. Everything on the buffet was delicious as it always is. I enjoy dining in and using the Dixie Cafe for my carry out orders.

For many years my family has stopped here when travelling west from VA. The service, ice cream and fudge have been travel topics since the 80's. Now, the staff is very nice but the place is run down, the bathrooms were disgusting, and the fudge isn't what it used to be. We did not eat at the restaurant since much of the place looked dingy. I hope they get things back in order quickly.

The food was very good and the services were better. We received our food to go. They gave us everything we would need to have a really good meal in our hotel room.

The cafe was wonderful. Corn bread excellent and lady’s at the cafe were so nice. The store not so much. I bought three gifts for over $138 and asked the cashier to put three of the smaller gift type bags( with handles) in my bag because I was giving my purchases as gifts. I bought cards there also thinking I was all set for my gifts to give. She gave me 3 cheap brown bags. She seemed to be irritated that I did not want to give 2% of my purchase amount to the community fund raiser. They had to have the manager come and override the automatic charge for that. First purchase in Tennessee left a sour taste for me.
