One of the best coffees in Franklin.
Wonderful shop just west of Franklin town center. Formerly a Cat & Cloud Coffee account, they’re now roasting their own coffee and are delivering offerings of wonderfully roasted and brewed specialty coffees. Also on the menu are local pastries, quick made to order hot quick bites and smoothies. Recently remodeled inside, Highbrow offers a great bright space to spend some time to recharge. Highbrow is a great place to get a quality cup of coffee in the Franklin area. They have a friendly and professional staff, as well as a clean and beautiful dine in experience. I often get my whole beans from them, and I love that they are locally roasted. The Ethiopia acacia roast has become my favorite. Try them out you won’t regret it.
Ordered bourbon caramel latte and bacon, egg and cheese biscuit. The latte was good and the biscuit itself was excellent but the bacon was way overcooked. Beyond crispy. The cheese was still cold on the biscuit.
First off I want to say that the biscuits are fabulous. I had a sausage egg and cheese biscuit and it was delicious – I want to go back just for the fluffy biscuit itself as it was perfection. HOWEVER, I ordered a matcha latte in the largest size and was not told that it came in a paper cup due to the size. The paper cup was fine – I just would have appreciated the heads up, because when our orders came out we were not told what the orders were and I was wondering if the one in the paper cup was actually the matcha latté. I went up to the counter and asked the barista if our orders were correct and told them what we ordered. The barista assured me our orders were correct. Why I was wondering this? My matcha latté was GRAY. I have had quite a few matcha lattés before and I know that they should not be gray but a light green even as a latté. The latté did not taste like much of anything – no distinct matcha flavor – just lightly sweet with honey as I had ordered it. The matcha was oxidized and had lost its flavor. It would behoove the coffee shop staff to know how to properly store and keep matcha. Get coffee here or biscuits but not matcha. Biscuits are delish. I tasted my mom's caramel bourbon latté and it was delish but they don't know what they're doing with matcha.
Wonderful place. Everything I’ve tasted here is good. From coffee to smoothies you can’t go wrong.
Was very sad to see the change in interior style. From cozy southern little coffee shop it turned into very basic faceless one.
Great coffee shop. The Walton and the sausage egg and cheese panini were both delicious today. Looking forward to coming back at the next opportunity.
Sour dough breads are very good, but definitely try their homemade pop tarts AND their delicious blueberry pie bars. So good!

This place was amazing it was the first time that I had ever actually had a coffee from a fancy little shop like this and I had no idea what I wanted. So as I walked in and the cashier asked what I wanted the only thing that come to my mind was I want something large sweet chocolate and frothy and with only those words he made the best coffee that I have ever tasted in my life and it was perfect it also is the only place well one of the only places where my mother-in-law could find unsweetened almond milk and the prices were not outrageous they were actually very considerable and we both walked away and had a smile on our face and it set the mood for the whole day. As a matter of fact I received bad news right after we left there and I can just remember thinking well no matter what happens today at least my coffee is perfect so thank you to everyone that works here you guys are amazing.
SO. VERY. GOOD. The latte was ridiculously good -- like liquid velvet on the palette. 11 out of 10. Recommended!

Great coffee and sneaky good breakfast biscuits
Oh, my goodness! I should have reviewed years ago but got lazy. I must now, after having tried their house roasted espresso (Ethiopian Acacia today). First of all, I'm excited that they're roasting, second of all, the two things I've tried, Ethiopian on espresso and Guatemalan drip, were delicious. Especially the Ethiopian. On top of their delicious breakfast offerings, they have a large assortment of pastries. Round that out with very friendly service and you have a go-to place for your daily caffeine and snack fix.
Update feb 2022 Still great. Trust me this is where you want to go for all your coffee tea and hot beverage concoctions Following is 2021 review A great little coffee shop. Both inside and outside seating. Sit outfront and view the Westhaven lake, while doing a lityle people watching. Better yet..walk around the lake with your favorite hot beverage.WIFI availabe.A small selection of other fine snacks are available to go with a good cup of coffee or tea.(scones,doughnuts etc) It beats the common starbucks chain atmosphere hands down.
