Great place to eat while visiting the monument. When the weather is nice you can eat outside on patio with great views of Mount rushmore. Food wasn't too pricey and it was good. Had eggs, biscuit and gravy, and potatoes.
Crispy Chicken Sandwich was made much better by adding bacon and cheese. Was surprised the cheese was cheddar and not an American single. Chicken had a nice crispy exterior and wasn't overcooked. Hot Dog was okay and the finely minced red onion took it up a notch. French Fries were a bit soggy and limp. Fantastic view of Mt. Rushmore.
Inside the Mount Rushmore complex. Decent prices and choice of feed. Wood fire with a view of the heads. For beer lovers you can purchase the Mount Rushmore beer to go
We went there on Sunday, it wasn't too busy and the workers were very patient and nice even it took us minutes to order our foods and drinks.
I believe this might be my fourth visit over my lifetime to Mount Rushmore and it never gets old. This was our first time to eat at Carvers Cafe. My wife and I had the pot roast dinner for only $11. It was delicious and did not disappoint.
Some areas are closed for the season but they still have ice cream and everything available.
Why is this even the resturant at our monument? This is less that school cafeteria food . Almost everything we ordered 5 meals all wrong and cold and I don't mean slightly cold I mean fridgerator cold and yet somehow still dryer than the desert we came from to see it . Mostly rude and dismissive staff wasn't even worth complaining at that point we just left after trying to chock down the ice cubbed dry rub lol . I'd seriously think more of putting a better food foward when it involves our countries founding fathers granted the food is separate but integrity is a full time job.
The ice cream was wonderful and not overly sweet
The food was good.Great people there.
Really felt like a high school cafeteria. You can do better!
Usually we avoid restaurants at tourist attractions but the menu at this one sounded good. We had the pot roast and a burger. They were both surprisingly good and the roll with the pot roast was very good. I'm glad we didn't avoid this one. Being able to eat underneath Mt. Rushmore was cool too.
Worst burger ever! Burger was pink in the middle and cold. Soup was ok but luke warm. Over priced!
The park was great. The cafe on the other hand for some reason everyone in there were new employees have only been working for two days The ones at the cash register the ones cooking and everyone else claimed they were only there for two days did not know their job. We ordered breakfast It was not very good at all we ordered five biscuits and gravy and three of them the biscuits were so hard You did not even cut through them or bite through them had to take them back. We spent over $65 on breakfast and hardly ate any of it there was a waste. Hopefully they get training for the employees that are there or get more experience to employees. We absolutely loved everything else about the park just the cafe was a waste of money.
Bit pricy but what else is new at a tourist site. Caesar salad was Fabulous. Ice cream very pricey but good. Clean restrooms.
I liked it.. The place is full when it rains and that all. Seating was the reason 4 was given.
Good food. Plenty of seating. Was alittle full but it was bike rally in Sturgis. Great to be able to sit eat and enjoy Mount Rushmore right outside the windows.
Great staff, good service. Mediocre food except for the ice cream but good value for the money except for the ice cream. If you forgot to eat or feed the kids before heading to Rushmore dont they will take care of you. Al
The food was ok, but the ice cream that was great! Would recommend
Large plates of food. The pot roast and mashed potatoes was hot and filling. A lot of other tasty treats too.
Basic, over-priced food you would get at any tourist trap. It was bad, but I wouldn't go special just for that place.
