The flavor of the food was good. However, they have limited food options for vegan. Loved the place. Just wish that they did more for vegans.
not good experience only get half bagel with salmon dish
10/10 for the food, service, ambience and overall experience! Ate there during lunch time (their brunch time ends at 11am on Saturday). Everything was delicious but their creme brulee won the day! Will definitely come back to try out their brunch menu.
I love Manuel's! The food is amazing and always fresh and the service is always top notch!
Great lunch experience! I love the location and plan to return frequently even though it is outside my normal travel routine.
Absolutely fantastic food. Call and make a reservation, or you may regret not doing so. I had the exotic burger with homemade fries and a small salad that all came with burger, my wife had the Salomon cake burger, and our friend had the French dip. Two ice teas and iced moca. Their desserts looked fantastic, but we were too full to indulge. A must try.
Friendly staff. Good food. There is no liquor license, so you're limited to wine.
Best croissant I've had in the US. And the service is great. Anyone complaining about slow or bad service is just a crank, as per usual.
The wait service and the atmosphere as always, were perfect. The chocolate mousse was perfect. Our waitress was very sweet and attentive. However, I’m not sure if they had an off day in the kitchen or what - the food service was terrible. My husband’s Eggs Benedict was first served with soft boiled eggs instead of poached. The kitchen did correct the eggs, but by the time they brought new eggs, they were still not truly poached and were more of an over medium poach. He also realized that the English muffins were not toasted at all and that there was not enough hollandaise to fix his Benedict with the new eggs, but didn’t want to complain a second time. My shrimp and grits were less than their usual phenomenal standard - but I was hungry so I ate them anyways (that and our friend had broken a mimosa flute on accident, so we weren’t trying to cause more of a fuss). My shrimp were pale and flavorless. Last time we came, the shrimp were flavorful and well seasoned. These literally looked like they were quickly boiled and tossed on top of the grits with some parsley. The grits were perfect, as were the drinks. We did also try the frog legs, which were an experience/impulse order. Not sure we’d get them again simply from a personal standpoint. In the images, you can see his English muffin is dry/uncooked and my shrimp are pale. While we had a decent experience, it was due to our company with our friends, and not the food. The service and atmosphere made up slightly for the lack of a good meal experience.
Desserts were great. Strawberry cake with icing was my favorite. Lamb rack was undercooked when ordered medium rare. Reservation was made through Resy. I was seated right away.
Went there for dinner and I ordered the prime rib special. Never had prime rib ½" thick and completely well done even though the server asked how I wanted it cooked. I said medium rare. The chicken piccata was dry and overcooked. You would think a special would be delicious, it was not. Their dinner is overpriced and the quality was terrible. We had New York cheesecake and pistachio cake and both were delicious. From now on we will only eat dessert!
Way over priced for the quality. Highly disappointed in less than average tasting food. Dry and no flavor. Presentation looked good… server was ok. The bread tasted like it was microwaved. The tomatoes in the caprese salad were thin and old. The salmon had no flavor…The grouper entree was dry… I could go on. Needless to say, out of the 4 of us… not one of us was impressed by what we ordered.
Even in the chaos of Masters week, the team provided outstanding food and great service -- highly recommend!
Wait staff was super friendly and willing to help with any suggestions. We would highly recommend ANY of the salads but thoroughly enjoyed the freshness of the grilled salmon salad and Goat Cheese and Beet Salad (add the chicken). Any of the cakes are excellent choices as well, but if you can, go for the strawberry cake. You won’t regret a trip here.
Excellent grub. Went off menu with my breakfast croissant and it was really good.
We are new to the area and are trying out all the restaurants. This is our worst experience so far. Every single staff member was hurried and not very polite. The server barely checked on us. We were there two hours with a baby because everything took a very long time. The portions were VERY small. No milk substitute for my latte (lactose intollerant here). The bathroom was horrendously gross. We ended up taking our dessert to go because we were informed early on by the hostess that our table was reserved for someone else at noon (we wanted to leave much earlier I assure you). In their defens3 on this one our reservation was for inside but they accomodated us (with a roll of their eyes, to sit outside). The ONLY aspect of our visit that was enjoyable was the cake that we couldn't eat until we got home because of the lack of to-go silverware. I regret tipping the server. I left feeling hungry. I know this is harsh but it is honest. I hope they can clean the place up a bit. The area is very quaint. For the price I really expected more.
Love Manuel’s. Yummy food and coffee! We came for breakfast on Saturday so it was busy and the food took a little longer, but we enjoyed our experience. Do wish there are more diverse menu items and less items that include pork.
It’s unfortunate that i have to leave this review. I’m giving it a three instead of a two because my first experience was pretty good. The waitress was pleasant, the creme brulee french toast and fried ravioli were so good. This made me this wow this is a great brunch spot in a quaint neighborhood…could go for a nice walk after. I’ve found a gem! This second time however, I wondered whether there changed the chef. One of the people in our party is a vegan…they have nothing vegan in the menu and made it plain they don’t care to accommodate anyone vegan. Once I inquired, the waitress’s (Kristen P.) attitude changed. From there it went downhill. I asked for home fries with the creme brulee, she brought out fruit. Ok, no big deal, likely a mistake. Shortly after she dame with a plate of lukewarm home fries. The fruit looked like they didn’t wash it and the “vegan” plate….the person asked for olives, peppers, onions, mushrooms on bread. I wish I took a picture, it looked so sad, they made no effort…at the very least they could’ve toasted the bread or something. The creme brulee was definitely not as good as it was the first time, burnt areas and they used like the ends of the bread so there wasn’t much moisture. Truly disappointing as I had to change these reservations in the past and was hoping it would've been enjoyable as we were celebrating a birthday. My child asked if we were going to have cake there…out of the question. They lost our business. The only thing flavorful was the reggae they were playing in the background.
Wonderful food, really great ambiance. A local favorite for sure. We will be back!!
Very good, well presented. The only issue I have is that it is very cramped inside, would definitely benefit from more room.
